I left a comment. That was a great article. This site is so addictive. I can never go more than a few days without checking in.
 
Great article!!!!! I'm a member of three hair sites, Nappturality, BHM, and here. And I spend most of my time here because LHCF is the greatest.
 
Thats fantastic gurly...I suppose I miss the "sisterhood" of not going to salons anymore. Also this site is totally addictive. Your right about nappturality. I was considering joining but it was a little too purist for me...in the sense that I like the laid back feel of this site. Its cheap and not to mention so many beautiful and beautlifilly headed black women that really know their shiz...The fact that the owner allows lurkers makes it the best of all. Cause eventually youll join...its far too addictive not too ;) Good job on the story


p.s. I was ABOUT to join nappturality before I found this site but the price tag was OUTRAGEOUS...Umm no way am I spending 20 dollars for an online memborship...or NEVER EVER frkn $100 dollars a year...puuhhh leeaassee

When I joined up here the $6.50 was such a relaxed and non "gouging" price that I bought 2years. Im on a major budget too. Especially with the economy crumbling you would think these other sites would relax their prices...tsk tsk

Oh well I joined the best hair site in the end so it all worked out ;)

Healthy Textures is macherieamour's site right? If so, I don't think she attributes her growth to stretching. In fact, the last time I visited her site (which was less than a year ago), someone asked her about stretching, and although she gave general information on it and it's potential benefits for ladies who had tried it, she said she wasn't able to give personal advice because she personally didn't stretch. And of course her hair was already the long mane we all know ...

I do recall a tutorial she had regarding braid-outs, which I believe she mentioned helped her blend new growth while she was stretching. Not sure it that video is still up; it was on the old site.

When did NP start charging? I've been over there for years and never paid a dime.

From what I understand you can join and participate on the site for free but you have to pay to be a Subscribed member. I don't know what the benefits to being a subscribed member are though.
 
Christelyn (love the name!) That was an excellent article -- very informative and kudos to you for the lhcf shout out! You did your thing gurl! :grin::grin:
