Wrote an Article about LHCF, Help Me with Another!

This too! In fact, a whole series can be done on hair growth vs. retention because a lot of women really don't understand the difference between the two. We're so used to saying "my hair isn't growing" when we don't see it getting longer, but the truth is that we're not retaining the length. I say that a whole series can be done on it because growth and retention is directly related to product usage and healthy hair care practices.

ITA, I think you could also tie in how our hair grows at pretty much the same rate as any other race! I think that would be quite a new concept (and probably revolutionary type stuff lol) to those outside hairboards.

Oh and if you want to do the 5 Online Natural Hair Stars one, you could include Sera252.

Healthy hair practices for relaxed, natural, and transitioning. And the importance of protein and technique and heat usage.

How about something about trends in the hair care business itself? There are the giant corps, the Asian family stores, some Black-owned businesses - who else? What's growing, what's contracting? How do trends in Black hair care track with the general beauty market?

Natural hair in the workplace TODAY (not in 1995). Spotlight on people in the corporate setting with natural hair. Is greater acceptance of natural hair part of the business casual trend? Something along those lines.

It would be nice to get away from the "OMG Black hair is a Such A Proooooblem" and see some coverage about it as part of the larger picture of beauty products, salon market, etc.

Thanks, OP!

THIS!!!

It would be really helpful to me (someone just starting out) to see articles on this ^^

What about providing insight of the other reasons why AA women wear weaves, phony pony, half wigs, braids etc is for protective styling. Then can list various protective styling with our real hair giving our real hair a break from the rough elements. Provide the readers a list of elementary regimens for proper hair care while doing PS, which LHCF support channel offers, including tremendous support and more, enabling more AA women to have healthier (longer) hair with chosen hair products.

Pink Skates is a natural hair Diva. She has her own board/site.

I think one of the Admin. (Allandra?) is Natural.

There is a famous hair braider in Atlanta (she sells her own hair products-Wealthy): T.W.
Taja (sp) Walsid (sp). Something like that.

i second this. pinkskates hair is stunning!:yep:
it's down to her butt and she can get her natural hair silky straight without depending on harsh chemicals. and she's helping hundreds of women transition to natural.

I must say I notice the new trend in natural hair now and there should be some techniques in taking care of natural hair. When I went natural in 2006 I barely saw another person that was natural like me now they are everywhere. Black Woman are taking back their power and learning to do their own hair and keeping it healthy and not following the myth that we can't and in order to fit in our hair must be straight. We can have the best of both styles relax and straight and grow long healthy hair. While maintaing it ourselves.

Here's my take:

LHCF is a beacon of hope to those who finally realize that traditional hair care products are not always beneficial to African hair. True hair care lies in the hand of the beholder not in a miracle product. And for me herbs, oils and the likes are helping me achieve the hair I always wanted.

Not sure if that's what you are looking for but its what was in my heart.

Maybe this point has been covered already, I don't know - I'm certainly no expert as I have just started on my HHJ in January, but I would say that the first thing in good hair care is diet. Bad health often produces bad hair (I speak from experience).

I see too many AA women subsisting on diets full of processed, nutrient lacking foods. No amount of oils, moisturizers or techniques will really help you get and keep the hair you want if your diet is lousy.

Add that the whole "black hair products" and "white hair products" are a bunch of bull, it's what on the inside that counts as in the ingredients.
