I'm going to learn to rollerset/ rod my hair w/o getting frustrated and taking it down midway through.:wallbash:
I'm going to know which conditioner(s) work for my dry/ thick hair.:ohwell:
I'm going to stop this PJism...oh..naw..that's for 2010.:lachen:

Hi, My name is Marna and this PJism got a sista in denial big time..If loving this stuff is wrong..I dont' want to do right..yall hear me..:spinning:

I don't plan on doing much different then what I do now, but I do plan on making a resolution to continue to care for my hair so it wil grow (I got goals..:yep:), only buy products that work for me and try not to stress about it growing.

no blow drying ever...my hair hates it
no combing
only on wash days only
diluting my relaxers with OILS and conditioners so that it is very mild.....

thats about it

I'm considering a BC and using a salon for relaxers and cuts every 6 weeks. This is something that I have NEVER had a good experience with, but I want a new look and healthy hair. I've been on this board for a year and a half without much progress so I'm close to letting it go.

I will be wearing my hair down more and adding Megatek.

I will not be stretching beyond six weeks unless my hair is tucked away under a wig or weave.

I am going to try a weave for the very first time at the beginning of 2009 and keep it in for 2 months (maybe 3). I also want to try the Indian powder routines. I'm going to try and use less heat and see if I can reach BSL by the end of the year! Also cutting my relaxers to 4-5 per year (instead of 8)!

I also think that I may start a fotki to track my growth!

be careful with the six weeks thing, you risk major overlapping, damage, thinning, from relaxing so much. Also, to trim every six weeks? You will NEVER see any progress

I think I'm going to add more oils and indian products to my regimen but basically I'm going to stick with my same reggie. It has never failed me:grin:

I am going to use the products that I have and not buy new products unless I run out of something that is working. I am going to focus on hair growth by continue to use sulfur mix and Megatek (put a order in last week). My goal is to reach APL.

My own personal consistency challenge with preparing my hair for bed: rolling or pin curling. Everything else is going well. I finally have a routine that works well for me.

No more bandwagons, challenges, etc. I occassionally wear my hair up because I want to wear it up, not because I am protecting the ends. (Hum, I need to change my avatar...)

I'm putting the blowdryer away and trying to learn how to rollerset. Also, no more trims. If I don't see a split end, there should be no cutting:nono2:

I am going to try and texturize my hair instead of getting a bone straight relaxer. I guess you could say transition to being some what semi natural.

Trying not to be a hardcore PJ! I think I've come to the end of the road with all the products and appliances. I have every possible thing that you can think of, in 2009 I will be on hair care autopilot.

more natural products like Hairveda and Ayurvedic stuff...my hair likes it and its probably better my my health

improving my diet...water and flaxseed oil would probably do my hair a whole of of good. I may try to go raw when Im home for the summer

As a newbie, I'm going to educate myself more about products for my hair type, create and stick to a vitamin regimen, and wear more protective styles.

I will start wearing my hair in curls. I must master the art of rolling my hair. I will in 2009. Straight hair looks so plan. I need a lil' texture in my life.

I think I'll be wet wrapping my hair instead of rollersetting. Rollersetting is just too much work; and I don't always have the time or patience for it!

I'm braiding my hair next week, so my won't be relaxed for a while.

Start evening out my ends gradually

Try and enjoy my hair care routine more

Get pretty hair accessories

MASTER DAMNED TANGLES

CREATE A FOTKI!!~ or at least create an album on this forum.

I plan to continue rollersetting my hair. (best thing I've done different for my hair this year!)
Plan to start using larger rollers for more of a wavy look versus extremely curly.

Continue to co-wash/deep condition/rollerset at least twice a week.

Continue to texlax every 16 weeks.

Thicken up my hairline. (personal challenge)

No more open challenges--bandwagons.

Stick to the products that work for my hair. Develop a solid regimen. Tackle my pj-ism once and for all.

I'm not planning any huge changes except I have a goal of learning to rollerset in 09. And stepping up my bun game. I'm bunning for APL in 09.
im going to refrain myself from buying any new products in the year 2009. ive have many many to live off of which are all good products that have all done good for me.. just switch off sparatically bcuz i am a product junkie lol. i also wana do rollersets as often as possible. i had it down when i was relaxed. but now that im 80% natural (mayb even more) id like to try again... are there any natural rollersetters on this board?? if so, any tips please?
how do you get that straight rollerset? and what do you do afterwards?.. how do u wear ur hair? do you blow it out... pin it up? flat iron? ...

thanks in advance,
........xoxo

I think I take care of my head more than I do anything else.. I wish I was that consistent with my exercise and diet.. Anyway, what I plan to do in 2009 is to maintain my style.. I recently cut myself a bang and even up my hair, now it's not as long as it used to be but it's even... I would love to have my hair grow to collarbone in 2009 but I've been on this journey for a long time and yet to achieve any milestones... I'll just hope for healthy hair this year and collarbone next year...

I am NOT!!!!! Getting Micro braids or cornrows with extensions(yaki pony) hair again. Out of all the protective styles I've sampled this year those were the ones that even though the rest of my hair flourished my edges got jacked up.

no extension braids for me....no trim only slight dusting off the ends every 3-4 months/ if need arises

Im getting the braid itch...i havent since 9/2008 so its been 8 months..I told myself im gonna satay away from ext braids but i feel like im not retaining any length:(
