Good job, hun! I'll leave a comment later. . .I love how when you got to YouTube's "Who is it for?" you were like..."Really?" :lachen: I was thinking the same thing!

But I see you neglected to mention BHM or Healthy Textures $100 yearly fee :lachen:

Aw, that was nice. The description seemed pretty accurate, at least to me. "these gals don't mince words." lol

Yes, I wrote this article back in August--before HT went fee-based. As for BHM...well...

:lachen: I kinda noticed that since I saw the fee for LHCF, and not Healthy Textures.

Yeah, that's the risk with turning in a story for a magazine...they can run it months after it's completed...which they did. HT didn't start the fees until last month. I wrote the article in August.

Holy Moses! I was going to join HT and it's 100 bucks annually. I love the vids I've seen on Youtube and she's very professional but I find a problem with that site, actually. She requests people to help edit articles, basically maintaining the website and what they get are promotions or whatnot...but she charges for her dvd. Why not just put it up on the website? I know she's an MBA making an income from that endeavor but I can't honestly see paying that much for an online "blog" about hair. Ouidad's site, which promotes it's own products and NaturallyCurly.com, which also promotes Ouidad allow you to participate in the forum. You do get discounts for products but I wouldn't buy enough to have it pay off. It might have to do with being able to get sponsorship and whatnot.

Oh, and great article. I enjoyed it.

nice article and I laughed when I read that LHCF is addictive because to me it's feels just like that, if I don't go on at least twice a day I have withdraw symptoms lol

Hi guys,

I'm not sure it you all remember that I was writing a story about black women taking charge of their hair care for Ebonyjet.com. Well, here it is! Please visit and take a look, and be sure to leave lots of comments!

Christelyn, I saw your thread..thought.."Aw heck she put the site on blast!" No way did you do that..you did a great job with the construction and your commentary.

Great article and beautiful name, Christelyn!!

Glad I never got sprung by a hairdresser whom I'd run errands for, buy food for...that would still have the audacity to charge me for service!!

Nice.....

But what is this comment about?

ms. vette says:i think mrs. obama should have her hair in a style for inauguration. she should do finger waves with purple glitter and a purple gown then she can show the world that black people are ruling the world. god bless all the obamas!
