He hates buns, ponytails and when i am in need of a perm. I only wear my hair down while i am at home. When i am at work it is in a bun. If we are not outt on a special night it is in a ponytail or bun. so he is sick and tired of it like that. he doesn't understand the process of me growing it out.

That was a funny episode. Love that show.
My DH hates when I wear buns or braids. He's not crazy about fake hair but he puts up with it for a little while. He will let me know when he's tired of it though.

I just asked dh this the other day and this was how the conversation went:
Me:"Are there any styles I wear that you don't like? Do you mind me wearing buns all the time?"
Dh:"Sh*t, as long as your hair doesn't look like it did before (before I found the board) I don't care WHAT you do!"
Me:"Dang, my hair wasn't THAT bad, was it?"
Dh:
I'm crying!

OT: Girl she didn't cut it off for charity. Remember Doug kept hassling her to cut it so they could get money for it, and they went on a cruise. It was so funny because he hated it short.

hmm...this is very interesting. dh's and so's don't like weaves. that's the majority it seems anyway. they do realize that we are black women right? they don't like braids and cornrows. these are considered ethnic styles. they don't like ur ethnicity? it seems they want str8 long hair only. if that's what they want they need to hit up the other races ONLY. us as black women love to change our hairstyles. it's refreshing. my post sounds kind of mean but reading these responses threw me for a loop.

DH is very hesitant to admit he has any preferences about my hair... he wants me to do what I want to do, not what he wants me to do. So it's like pulling teeth to get him to even TELL me what he doesn't like. I finally pried it out of him that he thinks I look like an inmate when I wear cornrows!

ITA agree with the bolded, my lst SO would NEVER tell what hairstyles he liked/didn't like. It was always, "if you like it, i like," junk. And LMBO @ the red text. HAAAAAAAA....and inmate!
