tgrowe: Aw that sucks! Where did you buy it from? Maybe it's bootleg :perplexed I got 14in1 from an Asian bss and it was watered down and worked horribly for me. It made my hair really stiff and hard to handle.

After I apply it, I just put my hair back in abun. For my dd's, I style as usual, pigtails, braids, ponytails, etc.

I have to agree with everyone else. This stuff is Niiiiiicccee! I did a braidout on my SD's thick, natural curly hair (biracial). It was so shiny and wavy on this morning. I'm going to use it on her hair as a daily moisturizer because I think I've killed her hair with the flat irons. :-(

Is it better than Elasta QP H-Two?
I love spray leave ins.

It's totally different. H-Two is watery and the HS 14 and 1 although in a spray bottle is a cream. It was the weirdest thing to pump it and have a stream of cream come out! I like H-Two but this one is better for my hair.

I love this stuff it really makes you curls stand out espeically if you mix it with IC gel and do a braid out fab. just FAB!!

Tiffers, I bought it at Sally's and it is thick and creamy like it should be. Great consistency since I like creme moisturizers better than watery ones. But it could have been because I had my mix of aloe vera juice/rosewater/glycerine mix on hair the day of and then applied the HS14in1 that night. I don't know. I will try again this weekend after I freshly wash her hair and before braiding it. Her hair is frizzy and finding something to combat the frizz has been a daunting task.
I just used the 14in1 and pulled my hair back in a small pony but I DO NOT have as much hair as you and others on this board. Plus I don't like how I look with my hair pulled back (I guess because I have never worn my hair like that in the past; I LOVE BANGS, OKAY!) Anyhoo, I am going to have to find me a phony-pony something if I want to protect my hair and save it from myself. Because a sista can do damage if not careful! LOL!
Thanks.

yes Tiffers was right. I purchased this yesterday. This stuff left my hair so soft. I couldnt keep my hands out of my hair. I can't believe it!

tiffers thanks so much for mentioning this product...... MY HAIR LOVES IT

...im glad i bought the big bottle...my bss owners...were excited too cuz like ive said they love it when i come in...and they know about LHCF..well whatever i tell them... not disrespecting anyone with an accent...but they were so cute they said....Internet friends suggest? We order mo fo you! We make sure we have!! i said thanks...i think they r telling everyone who comes in trying to grow their hair or keep their hair healthy all the products i use...and they showcase it in a..lil front isle display called customers suggestions...ive noticed anything i buy goes right on that shelf!!

tiffuprety, that is SOOOO cute!!!! :lachen: I wish my bss owners were like that!

Usually when my dd comes home from school, her hair is frizzy, tangled and super dry. I never really let her wear her hair loose, because within a few hours, it dries out and is just a mess.

Well, I sent her to school with loose pigtails, and she came home looking like she did when she left! Her hair hardly shrunk at all!!!! Her hair was so soft and squishy when she came home (I love squeezing her hair! LOL! )

Yes, I agree. This stuff is great. It keeps my hair very moisturized and soft all day.

Thanks, tiffers! :yep:

The other thing that I really, really, really like about this is that it has a pleasant smell to it. :yep: That's very important because my DH cannot stand anything on my hair that smells or is too strong. I have used so many different moisturizers and serums, etc. on my hair since I've been a member at LHCF, and I cannot tell ya'll how many times my DH has been like "what is that on your hurr?" :lachen: And, basically, I've had to rinse a lot of stuff out because his nose is very sensitive. :wallbash: :wallbash:

But, actually, one day last week I used this stuff on my hair (and I used a lot), and we took a little nap and he was like, "Mmmmm, that smells good on your hair.":lick: I was like :yay: "FINALLY".

So, Thanks tiffers! This saved my hair...and my DH's nose.:lachen:

:woohoo:

YEAH!!!!! I lurve my Hawaiian Silky! I just can't say enough about it. If it'll keep my dh's hair moisturized, it'll work for anyone!

**Just a word of caution I wanna keep putting out there: I only get my Hawaiian Silky from Sally's, I got it from my Asian bss once and it was watered down and lumpy. Left my hair a dry and tangled mess. I don't trust those blankety blanks any more :nono: Only from Sally's :yep:

I can agree with this. I got my first bottle at Sallys, because at time it was cheap:grin:I thought it was some great stuff. Could not find it again at Sally's so I bought it elsewhere. Not so good. I thought it was a fluke.:perplexed Guess I will have to give it another go.:look:

I bought some on Friday and used it yesterday post relaxer, it feels much better than S Curl and haven't taken down my twists yet. I opted not to blow dry last night and will flat iron in an hour or so. It felt great applying it to damp hair not too thick and not too thin. I hope this end up being the product that I need because for me moisturisers and good ones at that are hard to come by.

This stuff beats S Curl hands down! I have used it on both me and dd's hair. It is good stuff.
As a matter of fact I have some in my hair right now for my bun.

I got mine from Sabina [ a black hair care shop] for £3.99 the first few pumps will be watery. If the product is thick then give it about 20 -30 pumps in the sink. I think a lot of people squirted a few pumps then thought it was watered down. Even after shaking the first load were very watery. It's not no more :yep:

Try again!

I love this stuff for my hair :yep:

I looked for this all weekend and couldn't find it! :( Even Sally's was out... *sigh* I guess ya'll went and bought up ALL the good stuff!

I was upset b/c I took my Denman back (love it but it just took way too much of my hair out unnecessarily) and wanted to exchange it for a few things, including the 14 in 1. They don't carry it at my Sally's at all! So, until I run out of my other stuff and make my BSS run, I will be sticking to my other stuff. I love what I have now, but you got me curious
Miss Nina. I found some in Sallys in Jacksonville Florida. As a matter of fact, they said that is the only product they carry by Hawaiian Silky. I also found it in a local B.S.S- Good luck!

Chardai: I haven't used it for rollersets. I want to, but I hardly ever wear my hair down. The last time I did, I flatironed and used the HS to moisturize. It didn't weigh my hair down, it's a pretty light cream :yep:

Thanks!! Bought this today and I LOVE IT! I used it before rollersetting my hair. I was really skeptical about the mineral oil but so far my hair looks & feels great.

I have fine hair & am surprised this didn't weigh my hair down.... I used to use Hawaiian silky hair products years ago, don't know why I stopped...but I'm back on again:yep:

LOVE IT!!

After 3 or 4 days of applying to bun there is no build up. No product 'mask' on the top of my hair I can brush the top of my hair and apply again and it still works like I have none applied. my hair is constantly moisturised and never had a sleeker bun. My hair is not sticky or feels overly soft.

Thanks Tiffers!!! :yep:

I went to Sally's yesterday just to get this spray. I washed, conditioned and air dried my daughter's hair and used the spray and a little coconut oil. Her relaxed hair is thick and she is 9 weeks post, so it is normally hard to tame, but her hair dried so soft. This morning i sprayed her hair again and bunned it. It is soft and sleek. She can stretch even longer now. I am thankful to tiffers for suggesting this product. I think I may have found her staple.

I was pleasantly surprised at how thick this product is. I thought it was gonna be the consistency of S-Curl (which I use and love), but it is thick like a cream. I love it!

I can't wait to try this. I'm 9 weeks post too and I need something to help me tame this ng. I hope I can find it in Sally's today.

I just bought some yesterday because of you Tiffers! I was going to wait until this weekend to use it, since that was when I was gonna take down my braids. But I said screw it and I'm taking them down tonight! SO I can use it on my hair tommorrow! I'll let you know my about my Silky Experience.
