Is anybody gonna hide their hair for winter?

If yes what do you plan to do? I'm thinking about it... not sure whether I should braid or weave. I'm leaning towards braiding since my scalp can still breathe.

Anybody else.... some of you might probably wig it..???
 
I can't hide it because no matter how much I wash it it itches like crazy. So I plan on bunning it for the winter...
 
I might start wearing my wig again. My scalp is cold and I can't leave the house with wet hair/scalp :lol:
 
I'll be wigging it.:rolleyes: I don't understand something. Why do ladies with long hair need a half wig? Please help me understand.:look:
 
Sho 'nuff, Val. I've been wigging it since early this year so will continue to do so until Spring. I am looking forward to natural hair with some {I pray} serious growth by then. Winter is no time to fool around with my hair being exposed in a NYC winter!
 
Sew-ins and half-wigs for me this winter. I really want a lacefront, but I am terrified of the glue/adheisive.
 
i'll be wearing partial weaves for as long as i can stand it. i feel like with a partial weave my scalp can get some air and my end will be protected from rubbing against my collars and such.

Depending on where you live, the temperature may get very low outside during the winter. You may walk out of your house that's 70 degrees into air that is below 0, plus with the wind blowing it makes it even colder (wind chill). Having your hair exposed to that makes it weaker, drier, more prone to tangling and breakage. If you only leave the front out for blending, and have the back of your hair safely cornrowed and under a satin cap with a half wig over it, you are protecting your hair from such drastic changes in temperature, humidity etc.

Some women have wool coats or hoods that might rub, snag and break thier ends. A wig, even a half wig, can protect the hair.

Wearing the ends clipped or penned up til the 60s-70s are back.

Tis my hair policy: Below sixty degrees (Fahrenheit) -hair stays up. 60 degrees (Fahrenheit) and above, hair can be out. :yep:

So it boils down to protective styling during the winter. :lachen: I hadn't realized I'd been doing this for years. :rolleyes:
 
I do! I do! My hair grows the best in the winter as long as i put it away. I plan on getting a sew in come thanksgiving. I plan on being sewn up till spring or summer haven't decided yet.
 
I will definitely be wigging it. Not only will my head be warm, but my hair will be growing with no manipulation. Can't beat 2 for 1. :grin:
 
Braids and depending on where im going a satin scarf too so i can have some heat circulating on my scalp lol
