I am wigging it. I have been wearing a wig since Oct and plan to wear it until Jan. I am natural and I want to texlax in Jan.

I'm still contemplating whether to bun or wig it or both.
Wearing wigs has given me great progress for the last 7/8 months and its also so easy to maintain. I just wash, DC and leave my hair in plaits for a week.
Bunnings' quick too, but I have to deal with my hair every day.

Yup, I have a sewin, planning on getting it redone every 7-8 weeks til April, when I will BC:grin:

I always hide my hair from September - December. I'll take out my sew-in the week of Christimas, and probably wear my real hair until New Years. Then, my hair goes right back in hiding.

I'm doing the wig thing, and I am loving it. I am going to get all the growth I can get before it gets hot!
I wonder if people who wear wigs in the summer get too hot? Anyhoo, I love love love wigs. I just started wearing them for the first time ever a few months ago and I just love it. I am addicted so it is going to be hard for me to stop wearing them.

I've been thinking about getting my 6 month touch up or just bunning through the winter and get my touch up in the spring or something. I have to think about it.

i've been subconciously hiding my hair since october. i do flexi-rod sets, or just air-dry my hair, and pin it up.

Im definately hiding my hair for the winter. Im gonna keep it twisted up and just retwist as needed. The problem im having is the fact that I just moved and its about 30 degrees colder here. I usually have soakin wet twists in the morning when I go about the day but here Im shaking and freezing so Im gonna have to figure something else out. Cause for the past 2 days Ive had dry hair cause thats better than ice sicles dripping down my neck.

i'm going to keep my hair in twists
on christmas i might wear a twist out or something
and then re-twist before the new year.

... Going to Haiti in less than a month. When I get down there I am going to get pencil size braids, braided to the tip done w/ synthic (sp) hair. Hopefully this can last me 3 months.. or unbraid the crown area and rebraid (for freshness look). While in braids I will "grease" my scalp w/ cocasta shikakai hair oil (hairveda.com) or castor oil (straight from Haiti)... then apply megatek, right over the oil.

*Besides, the long braids should keep me a little bit warmer

ETA: before applying oil and megatek.. i will be spraying my braids and scalp lightly w/ water and bb castor, moisturizing lotion mixed up in a spray bottle

Plaiting my hair in small plaits (started a month a go) and, placing in ponytail (tucking ends in) or, leaving loose.

Loosening, washing and DC every week. May give a few weeks a miss as I want to flat iron/press hair for xmas. Otherwise, probaly do it until my birthday (April).

I was going to do so w/braids... But these suckers have only been in a week and I'm sick of them already. So... I think I'm just gonna keep my hair up in a Chicoro-style bun all winter.

i'm going wig shopping this week. i might buy one or two and rock those for the winter. i might buy one more next in Jan to change up. i'm pretty much in the house most of the time so i be wearing these when i got out. during the week i will wear twists and finger coils. i can't wait to hide my hair and expose it in April.
