Is anybody gonna hide their hair for winter?

I'll be wigging it. I don't understand something. Why do ladies with long hair need a half wig? Please help me understand.:look:

It's just another protective style. No different than braids, weave, buns, wigs, etc. It keeps your hair put away and safe from the elements. It is also a low manipulation style.

I've been using half wigs and will continue to use it for the rest of the semester. Then in January I will get braids and after that go back to half wigs. Hopefully this will be the only semester I have to wear half wigs. When my hair is BSL I hope to have more options

I am going back to cornrows under wigs which helped me get to APL and continue frequent cw which got me to BSL. I already have my first wig picked out.

I'm trying to figure out what type of braids I should use.... I used to use kinky twists when my hair was natural.... now I'm not sure what to buy.

I also have my wigs so I will wig it out at certain times also

If yes what do you plan to do? I'm thinking about it... not sure whether I should braid or weave. I'm leaning towards braiding since my scalp can still breathe.

Anybody else.... some of you might probably wig it..???

Why of course:yep: I'm doing the same thang, I always do...ponytail with my ends baggied:rolleyes: Ya dig??????

I am. I'm doing kinky twists until April 09. That should be three sets and I have the first set in now. I'm looking for a particular wig to switch things up but I can't find a BSS that carries the particular brand and model that I want.

I plan on doing it. I'll be bunning it for most of the winter and wearing a french braid with the end tucked under when I'm at home.

Of course! I have to make sure my hair is well protected under these harsh winters we have here in Toronto. Im going to be in braids and when not just do a bun, hopefully I stick to the plan

Weaving it up (luckily, my sister is a hair stylist and I can change them often), I plan on hiding it until Summer; not only because I want to shield my hair from dry Cali winter, but because I've started exercising five days a week and my hair is not liking cooperating after these work outs.

I would really like to try a weave for the winter. My ends are breaking like crazy!

Absolutely will. New York winters can be very harsh so I will continue to wear my ever changing wigs until Spring has sprung! Nice because I can mostly skip wearing hats as my wigs are my hats unless it's bitterly cold. I stay well conditioned and oiled, braided or twisted beneath my wigs.

Half wigging it up all winter til spring, Will throw a bun and some ponytails in there also. Brooklyn South you are so right about NYC weather.. One word BRUTAL!!!!

I am going for the bunning and will try different buns and ways to keep my ends tucked & moisturized by using my banana clips, and other accessories. I may possibly get a half wig but its no definite
