I went out and purchased this this morning. I washed and DC'd with this without heat. It made my hair very soft and it smells nice. After I rinsed, my curly hair seemed curlier..the ringlets were there in abundance. I used a little as a leave-in (about quarter size amount) and massaged it thoughout my hair and it's been 3 hours and my hair is dry now, and very soft. I didn't use oil to seal because I wanted to see how this truly works.

It's a keeper....

I have been using this for the past week. I cw every evening, rollerset and air dry through the night. I can feel a difference as to how soft my hair is. I love that you can use this as a dc, leave in or moisturizer cuz this stuff ain't cheap. Also, a little goes a long way.

Alter Ego is definitely a true keeper in my hair care regime. It keeps my hair shedding to almost 'nil'...no kidding.

I love the way it feels; it's very creamy and it smells so nice. It has a light, delicate and fresh scent to it. You wouldn't know it was a 'garlic' product unless you read the label.

I do have to use an oil afterwards on my hair. It leaves my hair very soft but the next day it's a little dry. I think that it has to be the garlic as garlic is a clarifier somewhat.

I still don't mind, I can't help but love that I can have a wonderful product that controls shedding and feels and smells so good. I thank our member 'Aggie' for introducing this product to me and to many of our other members. Prior to using Alter Ego, I was using straight garlic and oil and then I had to shampoo the garlic odor out of my hair...

Alter Ego, it's totally worth the money and time it takes to use it.

Hi sis, I don't use the Garlic conditioner, but the Enegizing Replinishing conditioner, which is a little different. I am going to pick up the garlic one this week, after reading your reviews about it...I will let you know how I like it...which I know I will, because if you say it's awesome, then its' awesome!!!

The garlic conditioner and the energizing conditioner are 2 different products.



I haven't tried them yet. But plan on using them both tomorrow when I wash. Hope I get good results.

It smells good. It, to me, has a light florally smell. Not strong but nice.

I picked up a big tub of this for $30(on sale at my local BSS) and I am ecstatic. It left my hair moisturized and so soft. Definitely a keeper next to my Keracare Humecto!

I used it in the regular sized bottle before and it is great!!! It moisturizes differently than the energizing does, but it is still a keeper in its own way. It smells good too. I got lots of compliments on how my hair smelled after i used it.

Don't go by beautyofnewyork..love the site but they don't seem to know the difference between out of stock and discontinued. They think both mean the same thing.

I have so much ALTER EGO GARLIC and the ALTER EGO COCONUT. Both work well for deep cons and leave my twists fluffy not all shrunken and flat, never tried the conditioner you mentioned. I bought my ALTER EGO from BLUE-BEEZ.

I searched as well for the AE Energizing Conditioner, because I had heard so much about it. I could not find that particular one ( Energizing) on e-bay or anywhere? And Trust Me: I was On a Moisture Mission !

I ended up with the AE Garlic Conditioner and the AE Nova Care Nourish Spa Leave-In which I love both.
