Okay, so I relaxed a few days ago, at about 19 weeks post. I intended to stretch to 24 but it was time....

Now that its the last quarter of the year, what plans do you have?

How do you plan to wrap up 2008 hair wise?

Me first:

nurse some breakage
start trimming (have not done so in forever)
I was inspired by MsKibibi and JenniferMD and some other ladies

Get a touch up.
Master the rollerset
Buy staples in bulk( I can't keep hunting down one bottle at a time:I'm talking to you Mill Creek)
Do some cute looking buns.

Wow, this year has gone by so fast. By year-end, I plan to:

1) reach waist length, even if it's just a few strands making it. :look:
2) end my personal no-trimming challenge, so that I can start regular trimming in 2009. Next year, I plan to maintain waistlength while I pursue thicker ends. :yep:

Officially start my transition to texlaxed
Get a trim, wayyyy over do for one
Stop slacking on my Ayurveda and keep at it everyday

Well I just put some braids in myself last night and I am too happy!! I need to cut them because they are a little too long. So right now I plan on:
1) Washing or cowashing at least 2 times a week
2) Apply my MT mix at least 2 times a week
3) Take care of my braids and redo as needed so I can make them last for at least 2 months. Q

yep. mskibibi started to aggressively trim a few years ago and now her hair is flawless. i am inspired by that. so this no-trimming regimen is on its way out.

-I need to be consistant with deep conditioning
-figure out how I am going to wear my hair for college graduation in dec 19th. I have a TWA now, I am thinking of getting braids, idk yet

You are so right!!

I'm hiding my hair until the end of the year:ohwell:

Booooorrriiinnggg!!!

I'm getting kinky twists on Friday and I plan to stay in them until January.
I'm going to finally use up this Surge 14 spray that's been collecting dust.
I'm hoping to end 2009 with 8-9 inches of natural hair.

I really need to get serious about my sides!! :wallbash: They have grown only 3 inches since the beginning of the year. The rest of my hair is flourishing. This is partly due to the fact that I wear half wigs. I have been moisturizing regularly but I plan to step up the growth aids / massaging on my sides since I have not done that in the past. My goal is to be colar bone length by the end of the year. Right now they are just slightly below chin and chin length on other areas.

I touched up after 14 weeks this weekend. I noticed some breakage/weak hair at my crown. so..

No more ponytail holders for the rest of the year. french twists only.

No direct heat

These are the only two that will require discipline. Everything else such as moisture/protein low mani and all those other good things are already in auto pilot for me.

I plan to perfect the rollerset since I texlaxed my hair for a little longer last month(rollerset looked like a big puff before..), no more flat-ironing after this week, and go into a sew-in mid December for about 4 or 5 weeks.

I plan to:

1.DC weekly
2.Wear my hair pulled back. I seem to have more breakage in my crown when I wear my hair down.
3. Dust instead of trim.
4. Relax every 12 weeks instead of 15.

Well I'm bunning for 30 days starting today. After that will most likely straighten for a week then maybe start bunning again. I plan on doing a touchup maybe sometime in December and then doing a small trim.

I plan to:

Stretch my relaxer til the first week of Dec.
Continue my rollersets, every other day moisturizing, and protecting my hair.

I'm going to:

a. work on finding the right moisturizer for my hair and stop being cheap
b. continue to bun until January 09
c. wean myself from my hair stylist :yep:
d. remember to take my vitamins daily

I have totally been slacking with my regimen. :perplexed I'm just not in the mood to think too much about my hair right now, so I'm not going to force it.

I plan to take these braids out next week, give the hair a rest, and then get kinky twists until December... I want to get my first press for Christmas...

Great post, i've got this all down in my Fotki about how i have to get serious with these last few months. So here goes:

- I've started taking protein shakes daily
- I joined a bun challenge, i'll be bunning most days atleast 5/7 days
- Going to start applying Moe Gro oil on my scalp from next week
- Making sure i don't slack on my washing, co washing and deep conditioning weekly
- Ensure that i moisterise 2x daily
- I've got back to working out 5/7 days a week (i slacked for a while)
- I've got back to drinking 2 Litres water daily (i slacked on that for a while :look:)
- Ultimately i better be APL by the end of the year

1) keep using my moisturizing spritz +protective styling (aloe juice + Phytokeratin, Bioplex NMF, SAA,HoneyQuat,Ricebran oil)
2) reach BLUNT APL again and get rid of these god-awful unwanted layers once and for all
3)do a blowout + light trim for the holidays

1. Maintain a good DC schedule
2. Get one more last trim for the season
3. Work on getting ends thicker

I'm thinking about bunning until the end of the year. I guess a last ditch effort to retain as much length as I can before the year is out

Cut off the thin ends
Step up my game on the supplements/water/diet

Me too Loca...that's my number one thing. Get my health together. I figure if it comes out of my scalp healthy, then all I have to do is maintain it.

I'm also using up all my products so I can start my new regimen.

From now until next December it's braids underneath a wig.

exactly. I believe when our truly healthy hair comes out of our scalp, we wont have to rely on products so much. After trying so many different things and not getting results, I figure its something internal.

Exactly. I agree with you 1000%. :yep:

That's why when I see people who wash their hair with water and then just throw some kind of butter on it and move on I'm like, I know it can be that easy for me too when my hair is at its optimal health.

Sticking with my usual regimen (wash & DC 2x/week). And wearing nothing but protective styles. I'm determined to get the tip of this V to WL. Then I'll start trimming to even it out.
