Miss: Redken smooth down conditioner :nono: initially made hair soft but after airdrying hair felt dry and brittle.

Jury still out on ORS olive oil moisturizer:perplexed

I know that I'll hear shouts of "blasphemy", but I am not feeling Aveda Damage Remedy Conditioner. The price tag is the first :nono:, but this odd-feeling, dry hair has nailed it's coffin shut! It was almost a neutral, because a wonderful member sold me hers, but maybe that should've been my sign, lol! Too, I know I should've followed up with a moisturizing conditioner... But still. PM me with offers-- I have over 1/2 (close to 3/4) of the 6.7 oz tube that will be sitting for a while...
I felt the same way about this conditioner and definitely not worth the price tag.:nono:I do however like the shampoo and treatment.I have cheaper conditioners that work and feel way better than this one.

HIT:

Winning a sample size container of Kenra's Smoothing Creme.

I remember filling out the form to win one of 500 of them (I did think it was going to be a full size :ohwell:). I was so surprised to get one in the mail today.

Even though it is only a half ounce, I like it because it is very purse ready, not to mention free and something I was not expecting today.

I have never used this, but it looks like a nice mid-day styling creme based on the ingredients. I can really see myself putting a little of this on in the middle of the day.

Kenra has always had nice samples. Back in the day, they used to send sample packs if we called them. I think they got hip to LHCF and stopped that! :)

$27.99 when I can pay $15.95 for Redken Extreme Rescue (and that's 8.5 oz). And to be honest, I usually like to stay in the $1 per ounce realm. But thanks to pjism, that doesn't always happen...

To follow-up: My hair seems a little stronger in places, but it is fluffy, my roots are tangled, and my hair is dull. God only knows how it'll look come 8am tomorrow... I need to be adding a replacement digital camera instead of buying Kerasilk, Keracare Wax Sticks, and the other odd things I've unnecessarily purchased so I can post pics with rants and raves!

HITS:
Aphogee Green Tea and Keratin spray. It's cheap, it seems to be strengthening better than my Mizani H20 Nighttime (which I still have two jars of), and it temporarily straightens my hair.

Joico Thermal Protectant Foam/Mousse. This stuff lays hair down like nobody's business! Too, if I apply it on dry hair, apply an oil or serum, and then roll (with Solar Rollers), my hair is soft, silky, and shiny in the morning. LOVE this stuff! Seriously, when I get my new cam, it's on and popping! If only I can remember... And stop buying stuff that I can't even use at the moment!

Hit: Hairveda's Whipped Creme. I baggied one time and it made a difference. I think I will baggy 2-3 times week until I can get some control over these ends! Love it!

Mizani butter blends chelating/neutralizing shampoo--very moisturizing!
Elasta H20--made ng soft
French Perm Stabilizer Plus--made my hair soft and easy to comb! I wasn't sure on this one because it has Isopropyl alcohol but it also has a pH of 2.5 and detangled my hair nicely!

With the CON poo, did you get the old formula with the green top or the new formula w/ the sulfates?

Hits- Pistachio Butter- smells good- creamy and feels great on my scalp ( haven't tried it on my whole head because I am tree braids) but it gets a thumbs up from me.

Continued hit- Megatek

No misses this month

Did it on accident last night, but MAJOR hit:

Mixing NTM conditioning mask w/AOHR. My hair is so disrespectfully soft, moist, shiny, and sweet smelling! I will be doing this from time to time.

Hits: MTG, this stuff gave me more growth in a mth than my average hair growth without aids. I hate the smell but i don't wanna trace it.
Porosity Control, makes my hair soft and stronger.

Misses- None so far, haven't been massaging and greasing my scalp like i should.
