Is anyone on here a ride and die relaxed head ot the end soldier on here???? I know I have mixed feeling about transitioning but I think I will be a relaxed head for the rest of my life because Im soooooooooooo used to it!!! Anyone else feels this way???

Relaxed heads of the world need to unite!!!:lachen:

I really used to believe this... that I would be relaxed forever. I still think I may be. But the more time I spend on this site and see the BEAUTIFUL natural heads, and as I stretch my relaxers longer and get to experience my 4a/b hair more often, I can see the possibility of transitioning.
I definitely feel your dilemna though... at the end of the day do what is best for you. You can have gorgeous, healthy hair either way so just do you!

NO. I fully intend to transition and go 100% natural one day in my adult lifetime....I fully believe it is a transition of the mind as well.

Folks can get really ugly when you talk about relaxed vs. natural.

I'm with you Shetara. Although i've been having feelings of going natural, its only so that i can be texlaxed, which is relaxed :giggle: I just love relaxed or texlaxed hair.

That's me. I'm ride or die chick. Me and Optimum we sticking together. I love and admire all the beautiful heads of natural hair on here, but I know that for me that would never work. I love my hair just like it is. I don't like trying to manage my new growth and I can't imagine how it would be if all that I had was curly. I admire the naturals because it seems to me that it takes more manpower to take care of natural hair. I don't want to transition. Can you tell me some of the reasons you are considering it? Just curious. I think both natural and relaxed hair have it's good and bad points and a lot of them are the same.

I plan out my next relaxer on a few days later. I wait in anticipation for the 3 months to be up. **raises hand**

I thought i was gonna be able to go natural....but heck who am i fooling i can barely stretch for 4months with out being in tears...so i'm not sure if i'll ever see natural again...

For now, I am a relaxer chick.

I do feel very confident that I will be transitioning at some point in my life. I just cannot see myself at retirement age going to get a touchup. That is just not happening. I don’t foresee wanting to spend time on it. I like the look of salt and pepper locs or an easy to manage twa or natural braidout.

But for now, Profectiv regular is my boo.

Yeah seeing all the different types of natural hair around here made me want to see what my REAL texture is since I haven't seen it since I was a kid even though I might relax again one day I would still like to see my hair in it's natural state at least once in my adult life :yep:

ME!!! I've been there and done that with the natural thing. More power to the women who can handle it but It just wasn't for me. I like to stretch between relaxers but I think I'll always use them.

I thought i was going crazy with the posting thing!!!!! :giggle: And i'm with Leona. I'm sticking with my Affirm for a long time!!!!!!! Even if i won't be bonelaxed.

I use to think that I would be relaxed for the rest of my life. But that was mostly because I didn't know anything else and the only adults that I knew that had natural hair with 4a/b hair type had locs.

Good luck in your haircare journey. :yep::yep::yep:
Healthy hair is beautiful hair no matter how we decide to wear it.

i think i will be relaxed forever, I just dont think I can handle it. Maybe I'll chop off my hair and go natural when am really old

I never plan to go natural and I really don't think anything is wrong with that. If I was natural I would keep it straightened so why pretend?
