I do (currently on month 3, but thinking about going to 6 or more months), but I wouldn't recommend my fotki

It's a newer fotki and not very extensive.

I'm curious to see others too!

Definitely Sylver2. What exactly are you looking for in the Fotki albums? Before transitioning, I was a long time 4-6 or 7 month stretcher but my albums don't really have a lot of info on technique, etc. I'm glad you brought this up, good question!

I was looking for pics or info on how people style their hair. I am 8 weeks post and am attempting to make it until atleast November. Its not totally unmanagable now, I just have to take more time to detangle but come mid October, it is going to get rough. I still want to do it though. Right now I am thinking about cowashing and just putting a scarf on it so that is dries as flat as it can and just leaving it like that until I wash it again. Since its getting cold, I will do the washing at night.

Yea most of my pics are on stretch days, buns and WnG's. I have some other pics I need to add of funky buns and stuff. Check out MissCherokee and Traycee for styling ideas too.

I am currently on my 3rd stretch. 18 Weeks Post and i have a fotki. My styling options are mostly rollersets to hide the NG.

Trying to stretch to 5-6 months on this go-around.

Sylver2 has the maxiglide tutorial, too. I think she is doing a year stretch. There is also Lonei, who has beautiful relaxed hair. I think she uses cornrows and roller sets to stretch her relaxers.

I transitioned for 18 months, Gym ... but I don't know if my Fotki will help you. I mostly wore my hair up in a clip during my transition.

This is my regimen exactly for the colder months. Its very easy for me.

When I transitioned for 7 months, flexi rods were my friend.

I'm no longer transitioning. I'm a card carrying permie

Gym, I made it up to 16 weeks and my hair gave me hell. Those tangles were no joke!! I now only go 13 or 14 weeks. I hope you find what you are looking for. Wet buns and twist up were my friend.

 im on a 1 year stretch right now. almost 7 months and yikes!!lol.
i add pics every few days to document how im doing. ijust added some pics today of the 'inside'. i hope album helps..but i don't do any type of styles. i just wear it out.
or the regular wash, scarf to flatten NG & braidout or bantu knot.

wow, this is super. your hair is BEAUTIFUL. Hopefully, I will be able to stretch for 6 months after relaxing my hair next month. Before going natural, I was never able to make it past 12 weeks(no matter how hard I tried).

sylver, i checked out your fotki the other day and it was so timely to see that you're on this one-year stretch. it is inspiring me to keep going. i have tailored a lot of my regimen around yours. no, i'm not a stan....just another LHCF chick saying thank you. sorry to hijack your thread, gym.

to answer your question, i have a fotki and i am on my 3rd six-month stretch.

planned to update my fotki this passed month and a half or so, but dd broke my camera. dh bought a new one yesterday, so i'll be documenting my experiences from this point on.

how's things with you and your hair right now?

i dont have pic yet but plan on going 7 month starting in nov. my hair dont like winter. i will be braiding up and wash C& G WAY. BRAIDING MY SELF. THIS WAY I KNOW WHATS GOING ON UP THERE. LOL

How in the world do you guys stretch that long without braids and weaves??? The longest I've ever gone (and have been able to go) has been three months.:ohwell: I manipulated my hair too much during my last stretch and I damaged it.... :( The different textures were not happy.
