When I used to relax my hair , I stretched 6 months at a time. There was a time I was doing it every 3-4 months. I stretched 9 months once. I've transitioned a couple of times and relaxed after 1 year.

Stretching is really a breeze, until you want to wear straight styles in humidity.

<<now I'm texlaxed>> :look:

I usually stretch for 4 months, pics of styles in air dry album. I don't do anything special, buns and braid outs. I just don't even attempt straight styles :perplexed.

I would think the easiest way to handle stretching past 3 months would be to flatiron every 2 weeks and little manipulation. I've tried stretching before past 3 months and it was hell. my hair wuld be so tangled that i'd get alot of breakage. This time around i'm considering stretching to 6 months and just air dry followed by flat iron every 2 weeks past the 3 month mark. I have a co worker with the most gorgeous, long and thick relaxed hair i've ever seen on someone in real life. I finally got the courage to ask for her regime, and this is what she does, relax every 6 months while going to the salon to get flat irons every 2 weeks. btw she's 4a

anyone flatiron weekly/biweekly with good results while stretching?
