I used CD when I first started to where my natural hair out - that was at the beginning of the year before I became enlightened (i.e., found this forum). I used the hair milk and hair balm on my wash and go's but since finding you ladies and doing other research, I have found MUCH better products at a MUCH cheaper price.

Hair Milk - did NOT define or enhance my natural curl, caused MAJOR build up, was so greasy would break my face out even thought I wore my hair off my face and back w/ a headband, it gave the illusion of moisture but did not moisturize. I ended up giving it to my mom as a starter product.

Hair Balm - smelled nice...........The End.

Elixir - liked the way the peppermint stimulated my scalp and felt it as soon as I used it.....after that, nothing at all....no tingle, no tittle, nothin'. I'm still using it as a sealer b/c let's face it....it cost $19 and I can't return it to Macy's.

Mind you, when I first started using CD I thought it was "the next best thing" but I really had nothing to compare it to b/c I was (and still am relatively) new. So like I said, now I'm enlightened and over the hype.

I just tried the tui hair oil and the kizzie hair pomade. The pomade didn't really make a difference on my hair as far as I can tell but the hair oil makes my hair so soft and shiny and my SO loves the scent. I sampled all the products in sephora before buying. I am able to tell by the texture of a product if it will work for my hair. Honestly the rest of her products would have been boo boo garbage for me as well but the ones I got are working well so far. I'm going to test the pomade to see if it will help to get my hair in a puff...so far that has been an impossible task for me (My hair never lays down on the front and sides) but we shall see what Kizzie (Stay Put) Pomade will do for me
my hair is relaxed and the pomade did not make my hair stay. if you want your hair to stay you should use hairveda's almond glaze. now that suff works. but as i've said befor i love carols daughter hair balm.

Carol's Daughter products are not worth the $$. I tried the Hair Smoothie, and got good results... The same results I got from my V05 moisture milks conditioner.

i thought i was the only one...but then i came here and noticed it was definitely NOT the rave....i used it and used more and more of it, and it just kinda sat there....i think they must really stretch the products, because they are not in anyway concentrated, and you'll used a third trying to get sometype of effect...that you can get with other products, over the counter, for less....i want to support the sista, but there are other sistas here who are giving us our money's worth....

I bought the hair smoothie last month. First time I used it, it seemed to work well and detangle wonderfully. However, the next few times I used it, it left a white film on my hair even after I thought I washed it out well. So, I am gonna finish out the jar since I invested $$$ in it, plus as I stated before it does detangle well. But you would probably do better with the other brands that have been mentioned here.

I tried the hair milk after I did my big chop. It did enchance my curls and control my frizz too but it left my hair with that greasy feeling and I didn't like that plus nobody likes a greasy forehead. I found the same results by making my own hair butter and its way more cheaper compared to them charging me a arm and a leg for a 8oz. :lachen:

My favs: Black vanilla leave-in conditioner, Hair Milk, Tui Hair oil, Tui leave-in conditioner

I also used Mimosa hair honey&Loc Butter, but no longer do (I may buy them again one day, but right now I've replaced them with Anita Grant pomades)

The Kizzi 'stay put' pomade:down::down::down:

I used it a long while back.... it was quite greasy.

So - I trashed it.

CD products are not for me....Trash.... I realized I said that before...
But my opinon has not changed.

TRASH - overpriced and now featured at Sephora.

i voted for healthy hair butter. i remember liking that well enough, even though i haven't bought it in years. i think karen's body beautiful makes a better hair milk though -- rich & moisturizing -- carol's just sat on my hair.

CD is not for everyone but it works for me. There are two products that I cannot live without: the Healthy Hair Butter and Tui Jojoba and SHea Butter Hair Sheen. I tried the Hair Mimose and it's way to greasy. The Black Vanilla Conditioner just makes your hair smell good, period. The Rosemary Mint Shampoo left my hair with so much residue that I had to wash it again with a clarifiyng shampoo... Eek! The Tui Hair Smoothie was moisturizing but it was too expensive!!! I could only use for 3 washes... ridiculous!

my kid has waistlength natural hair and i swear by the mimosa hair honey , hair balm, and lisa's hair elizir on dry hair. i just got a new macbook so i will as soon as the software is straight i will post some pix.

I tried the mimosa hair honey and it left me wondering what the heck it was supposed to do:ohwell:
I returned it to Sephora ASAP.

I love the Khoret Amen fragrance, but the Shampoo made me sorry I used it, and the leave-in didn't do anything at all.

I was given the Tui set for Christmas....the Shampoo has been downgraded to a body wash and the Hair Smoothie was a waste of time b/c I ended up having to use another conditioner fix things after I rinsed it out.

I did like the Tui hair oil though, it has a great consistency and works well with my glycerin type products (s-curl, sta sof fro, ect...), but I won't be fooled! It really isn't much more than a bottle of scented corn oil with some leaves in it, so I might as well go to the grocery store and get 3 times as much for a quarter of the price.

i picked up the healthy hair butter today and i am so glad i did. i use to swear by it but then the formula changed and i just never bought it again. well i put some on today and have been touching my hair ever since. i love this stuff.

My hair hates the hair milk, but loves the hair butter. I also use the Rosemary shampoo b/c it leaves my scalp feeling great. On occasion, I will use the Mimosa Hair Honey for extra shine. The leave-ins do NOTHING for my hair.

I tried the healthy hair butter. It doesn't smell good and it didn't do anything special for my hair. Not bad, just nothing special.I think it's made for relaxed hair though. I also tried the black vanilla hair smoothie. Sucked as a DC. I used it as a leave-in and it didn't do anything special, but it smells REALLY nice.

i used to do that. i loved the scent of the hair butter but after giving CD's stuff chance after chance i took it all back to sephora for a refund. my hair hated the products and i honestly tried almost everything. the only thing i still have is the Tui Hair Oil because of the scent. I use it about once every six months but now that i'm thinking about it, i think i'll trash it cause it is thick and sticky and makes my hair feel dirty which is why i hate it. when i have used it, i did so the day of or the day before i knew i was going to shampoo.
HOPE U DIDNT THROW IT...U CAN USE IT AS A BODY OIL :yep:
I tried almost all her hair products and they re nothing to brag about ,I like the black vanilla conditioner but its not comparable to pruducts like Aubrey O ,the hair milk is ok as someone else said i feel it just sit on my hair without delivering any moisture.the shampoos suck, the hhb is too heavy for my hair but i dont hate it its good for frizz, lisa elixir smells good but it just made my hair greasy and straw like,i didnt like the whole Khoret amen line ..it smells terrible too !The hair balm is a good finishing product ,it gives shine ,smells great but it wont stop your hair from poofing in humid climate. Her Body range is quite good I like the body butters Exctasy smells gorgeous I bought the souffle ,body oil and Parfum ,cant complain i really like all of them .A few years ago i tried one of her soap bars and it was very good .

Rosemary Herbal Mint Shampoo w/Sea Moss: HATED IT!!! It is the worst hair product that I've ever used in my entire life. It left my hair dry and tangled, and turned it into a metamorphosis of textures.

Tui Smoothie: Hated it! It left my hair dry and coated.

Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner: I used to love this stuff for my hair & scalp. It detangled well and left my hair soft. I stopped using it when the ingredients changed.

Lisa's Hair Elixir: It is very heavy, but it does provide a pretty good sheen.

Mimosa Hair Honey: It does not add shine or control any sort of frizz.

Healthy Hair Butter: It's alright at best.

My friend, who has dreadlocks, loves the Loc Butter.

I have the Mimosa Hair Honey. Not to fond of the 'orange' scent, but I use it, cause I paid for it. So, it's been my sealant for the past 1.5 months.

eta: It gives me some shine, but my hair doesn't stay as moisturized as I'd normally like.

when i was transtioning i used healthy hair butter to do my weekly bantu knots....i went to my hairstylist and she said i had tons of build up and it was the beeswax in this product:nono: she tried clarifying and everything and its didn't come out...it took a month for that crap to wear off my hair:wallbash: now since she's gotten popular the ingredients have changed to things that are not natural and toxic in some cases, her products are overpriced and inferior in quality in comparison to lines like afroveda,ao, komaza care, and kbb. i wouldn't waste my money:sad:

Wow this is interesting, seems like majority just does not like this product! I am so happy to know this and take my stuff back! As I touch my hair here at work its like sticking together at the ends and just isnt nice at all right now because of this stuff! Its crazy how some products can really work and some cant. All I know is I love Aphogee and Ojon thus far!

Ive used the hair milk and the lemon grass smell is overwhelming and it did nothing to quench the thirst of my curls! Try EQ Olive Oil and Mango butter, it's about 6 bucks and it's great!
