I found a gray hair yesterday. I am not too worried - my dad says that they "come and go" - and I've been under a lot of stress lately so I'm sure that's what it is. But for you ladies with lots of gray, just wondering when it started for you? (I just turned 30.)

I started graying early, in my twenties. Now I have lots of gray hair that's just now starting to creep in around my hairline - Yikes!

*pouts* None for me yet. My mom didn't start til her mid-40's, so I most likely have a while to wait.

I noticed my very first gray hair at the tender age of 25 and it's been a runaway train ever since

I've had greys in my teenage years. They went away and now I have plenty in the front right side of my head. I'm 27.

People in my family go grey earlier. I have had a couple of grey hair ever since I was 7 or 8 years old. I still only have about 4 on my head now.

I have a bit around my edges, none at all in the back...and I'm 58. I started when I was around 50.

At 25, lol. I worried so much about getting back into school and about my career plans last year that I brought it on prematurely. I have one gray hair that is the longest and strongest piece of hair on my head, I'm gonna dye it, lol.

My dad's side of the family turn gray early. I got my first strand in the 5th grade. It didn't go away. Well at about 25 I woke up and I had a patch in the front of my head. I begin to rinse my hair. I am 31 now and I have grays everywhere. I will be salt and pepper by the time I am 50!!! But no one will know it!!!! As long as they make rinses I will be using them.

My father had grey hair when he was a teenager . I found my first one around 23 or so. I have a gazillion in my hairline now (I'm 33), so I'll be all white by the time I'm in my mid 40s...but, yall will never know :nono: I'mma color until I'm much much older.

I was about 30. Can stress really bring on gray hair or is that an old wives tale? I know stress causes my hair to break and shed but I was never sure about the graying.

You mean on my head? :look: I saw my first gray at 29. I'm 30 now and I still have just like 3 or 4. Ahh *reminiscing* I remember when the first came in, it was all straight and what not. Now that it's gotten a little length to it, it's gon 'head and curled up. Wittle baby. Only problem is nappy gray hair kinda looks like lint and I keep trying to pull it out whenever I see it only to remember that it's my hair.

Ugh - spotted my first gray hair when I was 20 (I'm 28 now)... I now have quite a few and I hate them!

I started to get gray hair in my mid-20s. In my mid-30's in mostly concentrated around the front of my hair (unfortunately). Just taken care of that now though.

started growing gray at the tender age of 23, lol, I couldnt believe it at first, but yep, I have been going gray since then. So i tried to reduce my stress levels, I had just started med school at the time, so I blame the premature gray hair to that, So I really tried to relax and sleep well etc. I think I only have like 5 obvious grays at the top of my head, i have seen no progression of gray for the past two years

I got my first gray hair around 2. Then I developed a smallish gray circular section about the size of a pencil eraser. As I got older the gray circle got bigger, from pencil eraser size to dime size to quarter sized to half dollar size. Now it's a fist sized circle.

For some reason the gray circle grows faster than any other portion of my hair (go figure) and must be dyed every two weeks.

I found a few myself about 4 months ago. But I think grey hair is beautiful, espeacially the silverish kind. My aunt has beautiful silver hair and if mine turns silver like that you won't be able to tell me my name!!
