Hair is everywhere. In the sink, on the floor, my shoulders, in the bath tub and I even see it on my desk at work, and in my hand if I run my hand through my hair. I won't cook without my satin cap because I'm afraid I would get hair in the food. And where did these knots come from? Everyday there are knots in my hair that I try to unravel but they usually just fall out on the sink.

I still see progress in the length but I'm surprised because my hair is all over the place. Long strands and short little bits. I don't know what I'm doing that different, all I know is I never saw so much hair!!!!

mmm...Anything you changed in your reggie such as more manipulation of your hair ?? Any new products added in your reggie since youve noticed the excessive shedding ?? Do you detangle frequently?? or not enough which could be causing a lot of shed hair to be all over the place? Could it be the change of season?? Maybe try a garlic treatment thats what I use to do in my hair when I had it permed. Try to see what changed and if not try a deep treatment with garlic. Hope I was helpful

Thanks for the input. I think I will try the garlic treatments. I have heard about them for a long time but have never tried them. I try not to jump on every bandwagon because it can cause you to lose progress and spend money unneccessarily. I have spent much, much money in the past on my hair and the number of products I have is ridiculous but I don't use all of them. I use the products that seems to work but I think that sometimes the products start losing their effectiveness. When I notice that they are not leaving my hair the same, I change the products I use.

I got the most growth and best results from braids but the style is not well received in my professional evironment so I had to stop wearing them. This tells me that my hair does not like manipulation and is best when it rests.

I feel you when you say bandwagon...However a garlic treatment is not to GROWWWW your hair 12 inches in 12 days ...lol Its simply to reinforce and stop excessive shedding and breakage. And when you say you cant rock braids I totally understand ...when I was refering to manipulation see maybe how you can reduce manipulating your hair too much ....You have a nice lenght plus you can do some CHIC buns with your hair even loose buns can be done in a way that it still looks very CHIC. Keep us posted on your hair if anything. :)

I really try not to manipulate my hair too much. Mostly I finger comb and rarely use a my wide tooth comb. I roller set and air dry. In my avatar I used very big rollers and air dried then tried to do a doobie. It never turns out very well. Maybe it looked ok on the picture but my husband took about four pictures before we found one that looked ok. I had just relaxed the day before.

Buns I found break my hair even if they are loose. I do some messy up dos most of the time

Can you explain garlic treatments? Is it just garlic shampoo? I ma shedding bad as well.

Some ladies are using garlic cloves or minced garlic and olive oil to combat shedding. There are also several garlic shampoos that you can find at the BSS. (I have Queen Helene Garlic Shampoo that I purchased for $3.99 a bottle and it really helps to stop the shedding). Hope this helps.

You can do it yourself or simply get a garlic treatment
