Come hell or high water I'm relaxing on Saturday!!!!!! Had last relaxer in March and a texturizer in May, but I realized I like bonestrait hair, so relaxer it is for me. Using Phyto index 2 as I am preggo and want to use a product that contains as many natural substance as possible... will post pictures and update fotki this weekend :)

Oh! Please do! You avatar is lovely! One day I hope to have your length!

Next touch-up is scheduled for August 3 (3 months post).
I'm doing everything exactly the same:

-half and half (staggered)
-SE mild (10 minutes)
-added SAA, keratin, and oil (7parts relaxer, 1 part oil, 1 tsp of the others)
-Affirm Fiberguard before neutralizing
-rinsing before rinsing with distilled water until neutralizing step

I just texlaxed my half inch hair so I guess I will have to wait until October or Thanksgiving, by that time I will be natural again LOL!!! but I will have to end up combing thru again so I will up my protein treatments prior and after! I am gonna be using Mazani ButterBlend, I have used No Lye in the past and it just seems to make my hair dry and brittle, my daughters hair too, so we are going back to the LYE!!!

Now this half n half sounds interesting, My question is How do you not get the other half of the scalp wet? Do you load that side with vaseline so the water beads off or what? I need to try that because my Daughter's hair is so thick that it takes along time to do her whole head and we don't go bone straight we like to leave some wave pattern and curls in.

my next touch up is scheduled for august 15th. I'm not sure if I'll hold out till then....that's just 3 more weeks but I'm getting antsy.

btw I'm 5weeks post

I plan on relaxing my hair the second week of August. I will be finishing a 12 week stretch (my 1st ever) and I am really excited to see my progress.

What I plan to do differently is:
the day before, clarify my hair and do an Apohgee protein treatment and the day of my relaxer I will cover my hair (except the new growth) with conditioner then apply the relaxer. :look:

I got an relaxer touch up on Monday, after going 15 weeks post (never again). My next TU will be Sept 29 (10 weeks).

Nope. I part the hair in two from crown to nape and bun one side.
Then I relax the side that is closest to the tub faucet. That lessens the moisture that gets on the other side. The other side gets damp, but not soaked. The relaxer takes nicely.:yep:

So Myronnie, are you texting or just lessening the strength?
well i really wanted to tex..i did in some areas but in other areas it was straight..but my hair is much much thicker :yep:
I'm never going back to bone straight relaxers..they made my hair so thin.
