First I have to say that my recent re-introduction of Fish oil and Borage Oil is a blessing beyond measure , how it has helped me, health wise almost instantly! Wow! Will be taking this stuff forever!

Now for the hair! I have never done this before! But I just didnt feel like doing my hair the other day, it had HE HH in it from the previous time I did it. But I took it all down and rubbed and worked through some coconut oil all through it, and just 'finger' combed and seperated it. I put it back up to take it down the next day. and even my daughter made a remark at how it looked! it was all moisturized and all detangled! I seriously could not believe it. I have never finger combed and seperated with oil before and nobody could have told me it would do all that! But it surely did! I WILL be doing this from now on too! An oil work through with fingers, Pre comb through session every single time! It made a HUGE difference! :yep:

anybody ever done this before? I'm still kinda amazed at how it worked!

Are you asking if we've ever finger combed? With just oil? I've finger combed with just one product, like Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Milk and Oyin Whipped Pudding.

yeah I have never done that with anything and was really shocked at the results with the coconut oil! Its definitely a keeper for pre-combing for tangles! the results were amazing, I was seriously just doing whatever not for any real reason and didnt expect it to do all that!

Hey Iris, I decided to go back to having braid bangs w/o extensions and undid the extension braids at the front earlier in the week. As I undid each braid, I twisted the section, only I didn't like how thin the twists were compared to the rest of my braids and decided I'd resection the area and braid thicker sections. I untwisted each section and just put them all into one big plait w/o detangling (I was tired) planning to do the needful later. Well, that's wasn't a smart idea coz later when I tried to detangle w/ fingers, I found it to be a pain and worried about the friction I was causing (Remember I don't use products while wearing my hair in braids), so I thought of applying coconut oil so I'd have some slip. I did this on Wednesday or Thursday night and the oil did help. So looks like we were both trying out the same thing and something we'd never done before.
