HIT:

Baking Soda Rinse to cleanse my hair. I have seen this over and over and over and never tried it. My thoughts, "Baking Soda, yeah right!" I used it and my hair felt like butter. So soft and amazing slip. I would have never thought Baking Soda and water could do this. Neva!

Herbal Essences LTR... I liked it more than I thought I would. I thought the posts on here might be overhype so I was prepared to be a little disappointed, but it really was very good.

Hit:
Using my Mizani HRM Humidity Resistant spray BEFORE styling. I had soft, shiny curls that stayed through a dance recital and baby shower! Previously this stuff reminded me of a souped-up, aerosol version of spritz (I sprayed on after styling). And for $17.95, you see I never threw it away!

Hits

Redken Real Control Masque/Shampoo....love it, the masque is the truth, shampoo is one of the best moisturizing shampoos I'veever used

Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat...love it

Continued Hit

I use this all the time; I love it too! Sometimes I add warm coconut milk to it.

Revisited Hits

Shescentit's fortifying mask
Keracare shampoo for color treated hair

On the fence

Organix Vanilla Conditioner--it smells great and left my hair conditioned and easy to detangle, but I wasn't wowed by it. I felt that it left my hair coated and If I used it too often it would lead to major buildup.

Hits: Silk Elements luxurious shampoo and conditoner, leave in, pommade, heat protector, and hair grease (extra dry formula)

Misses: ORS hair lotion and wrap foam

Still to try: Silk Elements repair mask

Joico Kpak Deep Penetrating reconstructor & Joico Kpak Moisture Intense Hydrator- I'm reviewing these together since I used them together. Seriously, these products truly live up to the hype and beyond. I wish I purchased them sooner! I touched up a little over two weeks ago and was due to for my post relaxer protein treatment. I used the Kpak reconstructor for 10 mins w/o heat and then followed up with the Kpak Moisture intense hydrator for 20min w/heat. I did this on Sunday and today my hair still feels and looks great. When I do the elasticity test on one of my shed hairs, the hair is sooo strong and the elasticity is excellent; the best that my hair has ever been. The performance is superior to any product I've ever used especially only after only one use.

Thanks to all you wonderful ladies for the great reviews on this line (especially Artemis!)! I definitely plan to repurchase!

AG Fast Food Leave on conditioner
-this is a leave-in conditioner and so far I really, really, really like it. I've used this on wet and dry hair and my hair has done well with both. It's a creme, it smells good, it's light, the ph is good (4.5-5.5) and the ingredients are excellent. I needed a new daily moisturizer and so far I'm more than satisfied. I definitely plan to repurchase.

Definite hit

Lacio Lacio
French Perm stabilizer.

I'm seeing that through this next stretch I do need to go back to at least some sort of daily protien which Lacio provides. FPS is fantastic. My hair was getting that afro on the bottom and this helped to get it back under control.

Its not sudsy on my hair, and the rinseout was fantastic. no tangles, and barely a hair in the comb/brush.

These will be washday stables until I relax again.

On the fence:
Nexxus Enphuse. I like Keraphix better though its an ok product. I didn't get the large bottle so once I'm done its back to Keraphix.

Revisited hit: BB castor oil in the jar. My mom used this to grow my hair out after a setback when I was a kiddie. I trusted her word and I got some (its only 3 dollars). All I can say is wow! I like the jar waaaay better than the bottle! It is really moisturizing in my hair. Its not sticky and when I seal it ith coconut oil, I only have to re-moisturize every day or so (instead of twice a day). This is some good stuff!

A HIT so far

Joico Body Luxe conditioner: saw this in one of MonaLisa's posts and decided to try it. Well, I put some on dry hair. Don't know why 'cause I never do that with conditioners. Anyway, my hair was so soft and shiny and nice. Not to mention moisturized. I loved it! Since then I have used it as a DC and as a quick 2-min conditioner. Great results each time. My hair was very moisturized, detangled, and soft. It felt great. This last time I left a little in when I rinsed and my hair was detangled, moisturized, smooth, and dried nice and straight. Definite repurchase. :yep:

Hits:
Organix Shea Butter conditioner: nice & creamy, I've been using it as a leave-in

Elasta QP Stop Action Neutralizing Shampoo: nice, gentle and sulfate free. It contains olein sulfonate which is said to be drying, but it wasn't drying or harsh on my hair.

VIA Semi-Permanent rinse (Black Satin): this was easy to apply and has great ingriedients, especially for use post relaxing, it wasn't drying either

MISS:

Redken All Soft Conditioner...It just stinks! And I bought 5 bottles of this stuff at a salon in the mall cause they had it for 60% off. It doesn't give as much slip as i like either. I'm gonna put some EO's in it next time to kill the smell and just use it up!

Sebastian Potion #9...Left my hair crunchy and dry. Mad cause I paid $7 for this little bottle. I'm gonna give it one more shot cause maybe i used too much at a time then i'm givin' it to my sis.

You might want to sell the all soft... a lot of folks like it.

Mix the potion 9 with your mositurizing leave in con. I had the same thing happen to me but once I mixed it my hair was fire!

I'm back to update:

There are some Hits and Misses in this next photo:

I like all the Roux products here - the Porosity Control poo and con and the 5 in 1 poo, these make my hair detangle like a breeze. I also like the Elucence moisture benefits poo and clarifying poo:yep:.

Now the Misses here are:
Elucence moisture balancing conditioner and treatment.

Additional Hits:

Everything ayurveda for me especially my fenugreek seed powder (provided loads and loads of slip as a tea rinse), but except the aritha powder - I know it's clarifying but I found it a little too drying for my fine hair. I will continue to use it but sparingly.

You might want to try the Eluence MB conditioner as a leave-in, this is how I use it (I really don't like it as a DC).

And I swear if I don't pick up this organix serum before I get my hair done for my trip I'm going to cuss myself out viciously...:wallbash:
