Last week I was touch up time for me. I decided after a lot of thought to comb my relaxer through and go bone straight (Don't ask why because I don't know it may have been a fit of rage after ridiculous detangling issues). So I did that and of course my hair is not bone straight even though it feels that way after having a head full of natural hair for over five years. Here is the issue now. I don't know what to do with my hair anymore.
It's weird.
When my hair was relaxed before I took care of my hair just fine but now I am at a loss. I wore my hair straight for a few days but it was limp and weird and flat. I tried to do a wash and go but it was crunchy and weird. I guess I am adjusting right now. I don't know how much product to use, it seems that I always use too much. Even a quater size is too much when I was using a handful natural. So I admit I am at a loss right now. Ohh and I can't get through 2 days without washing my hair when it looks perfectly fine.
I need some advice. I tried to do a search on air drying methods but I did not get anything. I need some Bantu Knot advice also. I know how to make it work on natural and highly textured hair but I don't know what to do on relaxed.
So what advice would you give a long term natural who has just relaxed????
TIA
