Why is it so hard to get advice or suggestions?

People seem to gravitate toward older members, more popular members or those with really long hair pictures on here. It's also hard when you're starting out. Just keep bumping if you need some answers :yep:

I agree, and I think it's sad :(. We're supposed to help folks no matter what stage they're at.

Another thing. Don't be afraid to PM people. When I started out on this thread and I needed advice, I'd go to people whom I thought might have the answer to my question. Everyone answered me back except one and I'm not gonna bust her out, even though I'm tempted.....:lachen:

Hi Cami! I know how it is when you start a thread and need assistance but it gets overlooked. Honestly though in my case it's for a few reasons 1. I'm wayyy too long winded and I don't think people want to hear every minuscule detail I say, 2. I don't have any pics ( I should really make an avatar though since I have a camera), and 3. I've been around for a long while and I've had alot of ups and downs (pj'ism, dying without properly caring, teetering between transitioning and staying relaxed...) and haven't made much progress length wise, health wise I'm pretty good but not great.
Anyways, just keep posting, bumping, and helping others out when you can and others might help back. There's a newbie challenge too if you haven't joined, big thread but I'm sure it has a wealth of info! Sorry ladies for the essay yet again!

What thread was that? :look:

You done good if it took this long for one of your threads to get rated. A person could start a thread saying " My son got all A's!" and it'll get hit with a 1 star! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Sorry to go OT. Back to the regularly scheduled program.

Aw - but if i say, one of the mods are gonna send me a PM, asking if i'm starting up trouble:lachen: (it was about BJ's) :lachen:........i'm outta here.........

The latest time to write a thread and expect a response if about 9:30-11. If you write anything after that, you're not really going to get an answer unless you bumb the thread. By the time morning comes and everyone here sits in front of their computers at work, school or home, a million threads have already been bumped. Thats why I don't make threads at 2:30 in the morning, or if I do, I bump them later because I know no one will see them if I don't.

I've never had an issue searching for a topic. Everytime I read that, I'm thinking, "hm. glad I don't have that problem..." :smirk:

Same here...I always get my searches to work.:perplexed
Let me share what I do...

I go to search and then select Advanced search. When the window comes up, I ' by title only' (instead of 'Search entire post')
:scratchch
Then I also tell it to search for threads with at least 5 or more replies.

I learned this method when I first joined the board. When the journal module was still activated, someone had a great journal that taught the ins & outs of getting excellent search results.

Hmmm... :scratchch

i never had that issue when i was a noob so i dont really agree with the whole picture/popularity thing...this aint high school! i will repeat what others have said though, do only one or two questions at a time, and search search search for your answer.

and bumping works too. it could be the wrong time of day or something.

Silly Mortal- Don't you know that high school never ends! MWAHAHAHAHAH :lachen:

This is what I do as well...never had any problems.

I totally agree Everything Zen, don't feel bad OP. I have been here for a minute and some of my threads don't get many responds but the ppl who likes me always responds. To be honest I really don't care as long as 2 ppl respond and I get an answer. I'm satisfied and also if you really need an answer, don't be embarassed to say. OKAY, yall. I need your help:rolleyes:. Someone will answer. It's all good in the hood of LHCF.
