Not being abrasive here , but I have like 80+ views and no response on what I did for the first time, and that sucks. I thought this community was to help people, give a little suggestions & support...

What seems to be the problem people lol?

Im so excited I lost my aphogee/ giovanni virginity and no one has anything to say lol....:lachen:

Hope to hear something.

The name of the thread is , " so I tried this.." I think..

Its like on page 4.

Thank you so much.
That was a quick response. lol

I love Joan from GF. lol

What is your hair type and info..
Your hair is nice ..:yep:

People seem to gravitate toward older members, more popular members or those with really long hair pictures on here. It's also hard when you're starting out. Just keep bumping if you need some answers :yep:

This is true...good advice....be patient it takes time for some threads to get a response so keep bumping it

Just keep bumping. I don't go for older members only or hair pictures. I just didn't see your thread. Usually I click on "New Posts" to see who has posted what recently. So bump your thread up for us and I'm sure we'll do our best to answer questions.

Oh and sometimes if I don't use those products, I don't give an opinion, cause it's not coming from experience. Ya know? Hang in there! :yep:

Girl, get yourself a siggy and a avi. Your naked!!! :lachen:IMO siggy's and avi's show personality and I'm more likely to respond to a thread posted by someone who has taken the time to show me who they are (I'm kindof weird like that). A lot of times I remember a member by their siggy or avi rather than there screen name. :yep: Many times I may click on a thread that appears interesting because of its title, but when I see that it is posted by a member with no siggy or avi I'm like B-O-R-I-N-G!!! Crazy I know:spinning:, but in the internet world these things matter (well at least to me)!! :look:

Welcome to the board, happy to see you here.
XXCami, this is your first post I've noticed and you know why? You asked your question up front this time..I didn't have to :look:read and reread :look:to find what you needed to know. Make your post short and to the point..people will notice..and yes get some sparkle up in your posts. Suggested already..an interesting avatar, a little thumbnail. Takes time to be seen, it'll happen.

oh ok . Thanks for the advice.. I see I have to put something that doesnt have to do with hair as a pic and Ill get attention .. lol smh

Wassup! Welcome here. I know how you feel, that's why I try to answer a lot of newbies questions. I just didn't see yours. And yup I afree with the ohters create an interesting title or it easily gets overlooked by the more popular threads! Love ya! Mwah!

ITA!! It's extremely discouraging when you've lurked for years and then you finally get up the nerve to post but no one responds to your questions, etc. I basically gave up trying to ask questions here. I do however try to answer questions if I can help (not that anyone listens unless you're an older, popular member).

u will get responses. FYI not everyone who views is a paying member and able to post responses.

There were so many questions in that thread I got dizzy and didn't know where to start :spinning: So try to keep your questions organized and about one topic.
Also try doing searches on your questions. As a newbie it's likely your question has been raised in the past and people that have been here for awhile don't feel like answering the same old question for the 18937897897th time.
HTH. Happy hair growing!!

I felt the same way when I first joined...but the more I posted the more responses I started to get...I have old most saying the same thing....Big HUGs

I agree with this 100% . I made a mental not to reach thick full MBL before I start any posts up in here

that's what I said also (:ohwell: in a waY)

I have to admit .. I looked at the thread ...because it had 0 responses and I was going to answer it , but you had too many questions , i didnt quite understand where you were getting at , and I didn't feel like telling you that I couldn't view the pictures you mentioned , so I was waiting on someone else to say it and maybe I would come back and reply. I felt like the pictures may have made me understand more what you were trying to get at, so i was waiting patiently

I disagree w/ this, I've never had a hard time as a nub (nub=Nu B, Nubie).

Hi xxCami  welcome to the board.

I read your original thread and:

1. I had nothing helpful to add to the original thread.
2. You had so much information and so many questions in one post I didn't know where to begin.
3. I need more info on your hair and regimen for me to even begin to opine or hypothesize.
4. Have you tried the search function? (FYI sometimes it works sometimes it does not - it is a very temperamental tool but try it.
5.You can also "google" your word or phrase then the + sign immediately followed by longhaircarefourm. An example of a LHCF google search inquiry will look like this:
"mango butter" +longhaircareforum and then you will get a list of results (click here to see the result of the example search).
*The quotes around two or more words will find that exact phrase as typed. The + followed by a word will only give you results with the quoted phrase and the added word. Another example: aphogee +diasporahaircareforum will give these results (click on the word results).
6. I do not take this thread as you being abrasive, but you may wish to practice patience. IMO it is not cool to start a thread that is politely accusatory suggesting that your thread is being ignored after 80 views. If you look at some threads, there will be hundreds of views and maybe 5 posts, or even zero replies, so don't take it personally and be patient.

7. Finally, please add more info to your profile so that we know who you are (vs. a troll or an advertiser, etc.) AND so we can see what your hair looks like.

If you have not noticed, there are thousands of posts a day and hundreds of threads. Most of us just skim so threads will go missed unless you "bump" it. Bump is an acronym for "Bring/ing Up My Post"

Hope this helps.

:bighug:

Sad do say, but I gave up on asking questions too. At least until I get a grip of pictures to show my hair so people will at least look at my thread.

But as the other ladies said, be patient and it'll be answered (probably not in a timely manner though)

...not everyone who views is a paying member and able to post responses.

oooooohhhh, i TOTALLY forgot about that. LOL i remember i kept trying to post/reply b4 i became a paid member and i could not figure out for the life of me why i couldn't until i got an email telling me why!!!
:lachen: :lachen:
i was too used to the "free" hair sites. LOL

This is good advice. The million and one questions sends my brain into overload and I just shut down. Also try to spice up the thread title to draw people in.

Just bump the thread from time-to-time.

I for one have no aphogee / giovanni experience.

Your question may have been answered yeons ago in past threads so you might want to try doing a search before getting pissy:look:. Your siggy hair pic looks great. heck I need to ask you some questions.:lachen:

Oh I forgot to ask are you looking for advice or attention or both?

Girl STOP IT!!! :lachen: Be nice!

sorry girl...thats the story of my life. Many times I post and have tons of views and like 4 responses. The rest are mine bumping... I try not to take it personal but lately I just stopped asking questions and I really haven't been posting that much....Ill go back and read the post to see if I have any comments.
