I just read about doing this for moisture on the net.
Anyone???
Yes, it does! thanks!I tried it once. I purchased a large aloe leaf from the chinese grocery shop, cut it open and drained out the filament and gel. I let the cut leaf sit upside down in a bowl to drain out. Then I took the gel and applied it to my damp hair and I let it sit for about an hour or so. When I rinsed it out my hair seemed a little hard, but in a good way..I guess I would have to to say it felt stronger?? I don't know if the moisturizing effects were that evident and I don't know if the whole thing was worth all of the steps...so after that one time, I have just used store-bought aloe vera gel to add to some of my conditoners, etc.....HTH!
Thanks for this! Lots of ideas...I have used aloe and avocado as a prepoo and deep conditioner. I use the gel from a leaf blended in a bullet with avocado and silk aminio acid. I also will add other things too. It leaves my hair feeling very moisturized.
I also take the gel from the leaf blend in bullet until frothy and add a little infused water and a little bit of oil and Voila' my version of s curl for moisturizing.
I add more infused water and its my spray mix, delete the extra water and add more oil and I use that for my braiding gel/oil.
I also use aloe on my face as toner and on the heels of my feet for softness.
