Macherieamour(sp?). I saw her youtube vid on the saran wrap and I was amazed . I went over to healthytextures which led me to here. I am so happy I found this site. Unfortunately I used think that it was impossible to grow long hair. I know better now :grin:
 
I found a stylist that was into the healthy of hair. During my first visit (consultation); she told me that we did not have to have relaxers, and that she did not perm or relax hair. :look: This was so crazy to me, but I had gone to 2 different stylists in 3 years and the condition of my hair was getting worse. I watched several girls for months that went to her at work; their hair seemed to be in very good condition. So, I told her we would see how my hair was in 8 weeks touch-up time.

I never did much to my hair myself except wash it, and maybe deep condition. As touch-up time came, I kept having this dream that I was trying to self-relax; which I have never attempted. It made me realize that I had issues about my hair texture; a texture I had not seem since age 11. I went on a quest to find out why I felt like this, and what information was out there. I finally stumbled upon the site, and I have been addicted ever since.

I was searching google.com for "Ms. Jessie's Products and Salon" when a thread from LHCF came up. I was curious so of course I immediately signed up and started reading. I haven't looked back since; that was April of 2006.
 
Thank goodness for search engines!

I was angry and upset after having to cut off three inches due to severe damage...typed in growing healthy black hair, and there it was.

Then I saw the beautiful HAIR...:lick:
That's all it took for me!
 
First I stumbled upon Cathy Howse's website, which led me to Amazon to read reviews on her book. Several of the comments in the book reviews mentioned how much more information was on LHCF. Out of curiosity I checked the site out, saw Chicoro's feature of the month pics and the rest if history...
 
I learned about LHCF while visiting a fitness forum. A fellow member mentioned that she had a fitness regimen and a hair regimen and was also a member of a hair forum. Then she posted this website link.

I wish I could remember her name, because I would love to thank her.:ohwell:
 
"Dr Miracles Products" and GOOGLE.

I found some Dr Miracles products at my saloon and decided to look for reviews online before trying them and google led me here. My life(hair) has never been the same.

That said, I never went back for the Dr Miracles stuff. Got the hook up on soooooo many great products.

i will have to thank macherieamour. she had her hair wrapping tutorial on the AOL homepage and i watched it and thats how i found her site which in turn is how i found this site. i took a very roundabout way here, but i got here.....lol

Strangely, I bypassed this site many many times .. but only came once I saw her.:look:
 
I had become addicted to Cath Howse for about a week, and I was determined I was going to have longer hair, but I didn't want to buy her products. --I didn't trust em...I googled healthy african american hair and this came up!! Yaaaaaay!!
 
I have to say: Thank You, Lord. I was actually trying to research WGHO and hair growth but a lhcf thread was in the results. but I know it was an answer to a prayer.
 
I would like to send a shout out to "google.com" :lachen:

I'd finally mysteriously grew full SL hair and I wanted it to continue, so I started googling black hair care.

google led me to TLHC (and Nymphe, who I miss - I wonder what she's up to) and later BHM.....and BHM led me here. Or was it NP? :lol:

Google definitely gets most of the credit, though. :yep:
