Avocado Oil:
It made my hair so freakin shiny with just a drop of oil!! Ahh and it smells delicious!
Coconut milk powder: I mixed 1/4cup powder+1/4cupwarm water and the mix was some yummy thick coco milk! It lasts longer than coco milk from the can and smells scrumdiddlyumcious! :lick: And you can measure out how much coconut milk you want to make and then store the rest for months at a time!
Avocado butter: It's so smooth not grainy at all but it must be in a warm temp to smooth up again..i mean when u put it in the fridge it's hard.It made my hair so silky! LOVE
Hempseed butter: The smell puts you off but ahhh the butter is so soft and makes your hair shiny like no other thing you've experienced..luv it
Mango butter: It's a hard butter but the shine and moisture it imparts is insane. You have to whip it.
Suave coconut conditioner: Did a cowash yesterday and it was heaven! I love this conditioner now!

John Frieda Brunette Color Glaze: gave me smooth shiny hair and the best airdry too! It really defined my hair and I didn't have to use as much product afterwards while airdrying.

ETA: I tried the JF Color Glaze in Clear last night and used it as a pre-poo mixed with conditioner and loved it!

  • baggying...omg! i did this for the first time ever the other day after i flat-ironed, and all i put on my hair was BB castor oil moisturizer. that stuff is good, and the only reason i knew i had it was because i forced myself to go through all my hair care stuff and chuck the ones with petrolatum and mineral oil.
  • sabino MB - ladies, believe the hype. all i can say. it's expensive as CRAP but wow.
  • this DC challenge. i experienced some breakage from overmoisturizing but now that i have it down my hair looks wonderful.
  • bunning. i used AFashionSlave's bun tutorials and now my mismatch sock drawer is nonexistent while my hairstyle post-its stack is sky high. i may have to start a journal.
MISSES:
  • chi iron guard. all i heard was this sizzling noise and all i felt was fire on my scalp. i think i burned a patch out of my nape and i was nowhere near my roots. :lachen:MB all the way, baby!
YET TO TRY:
  • John Frieda color glazes in brunette and clear. can CVS's BOGO sale be considered a hit in itself? lol...heard good things so we will see.
  • kenra MC. bought it today and i want to enjoy straight hair at least until the MB comes in the mail. too bad monday is a holiday.
  • nexxus emergencee. had to shell out the $12 for it at CVS because i can't find it anywhere else. i have only ever had one treatment and that was emergencia, technically.

MAJOR hit: Redken Fresh Curls

This product is a must have for me now. It is a dream on my braidouts! I don't want to ever be without it. I'm able to freshen up a textured style mid-week and keep it looking soft and fresh. Plus a little goes a long way. LOVE it!
