Sorry I am a newbie with a slightly dumb question...ummm...How does your search feature work? I tried to use it and all that happens is a blank page loads that says done. How do I properly use this so that I can search for some things I need answers too.

try it again.
sometimes that happens to me and the second time i go at it, it works.
:ohwell:

I tried several times with no luck. I heard such great things about the search engine here which is one of the reasons I joined but that's ok. I will try one more time then I will just try later. Thanks!

I'll try to explain:

From Search

Go to Advanced Search

Type Keyword

Drop down arrow, select "Search titles only"

Find selections with at least ___ replies. (you can leave this blank. If you do it will pull everything, even threads with 0 responses).

Show results as threads.

Search in (select forum)..in one isn't selected, it will pull from all forums.

Seems like alot but it isn't. Works everytime.

HTH!

I too have not had much success with the search function. I use google and 9 times out of 10 I will find a thread or post on the subject matter. Once at google I type in the search box:

longhaircareforum and whatever subject matter i am looking for.
example: Longhaircareforum coconut oil

If you type:

coconut oil site:longhaircareforum.com

in the google search box, it will search this site only.

Or you can just use the google advanced search features and put longhaircareforum.com into the "Search within a site or domain:" box.

^^^ That's what I was about to post. I always google when the search feature is acting up :yep:

thnk you sooo much for all the responses. I know if the search feature doesnt work this time google will. I never thought to google.
