search feature not working.. so I have a quick question for you ladies

Does anyone do twistouts on dry hair? Have you ever twisted your hair then wet it with leave-in or something? Hanging plaits or twist to the head?

I do sometimes....but I don't wet mine, I use a little ors carrot oil cream. but I do put a leave in after I wash my hair though.

I haven't done an actual 'twist out', but I did do the bantu knots for a loose wave on dry hair. I used wgo and a little distilled water(and a tiny bit of setting lotion added) and it came out nice. Now, I add a little leave in as well.

I have done my braids out dry but like the results better from wet hair. Still looks good either way.

I do twistouts on dry hair basically. I do dampen with my moisture spritz and then I twist ORS lock and twist gel. If I twist dry with no product at all, my twists won't hold on 1/2 of my head.

I twist my hair on wet hair. I don't comb, brush, or manipulate my hair when it's dry because it's too difficult for my 4b hair. Also, I don't think the twists would stay twisted on dry hair. I do my routine washing/condition, apply a leave-in conditioner, oil my scalp and then apply Carol's Daughter healthy hair butter on my damp hair and twist them. I usually end up spritzing sections with water + leave-in.
