2 inch trim.... I have slight layers but my hair feels great. OCT has been helping a bunch with the growth.

Miss:
This pains me sooo much, Giovanni's Direct leave in..... :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: My hair used to love this stuff. I mean it would melt tangles and moisturize like nobody's business but this time around it just sat on my hair. I mean this was my go to leave in when I was 8 weeks post and it did nothing! Nothing!!!!!!!! I am soo disappointed.

Qhemet Amla & Olive Heavy Cream

New HITS :yep:

Essential Balms Indian Hemp & jojoba head to toe balm
EB Head to Toe Liquid Balm with jojoba & honey

Hits so far for me are:

Mega Tek Survivor Detangler
Mega Tek Rehydrant Spray
Honeyquat
Brahmi oil
Bhringraj oil
Hibiscus Petal Powder
Bhringraj powder
Fenugreek- oooooh lots and lots of slip as a strained tea rinse
BB Oil Moisturizer with Castor oil and aloe
BB growth moisturizing lotion

Misses:

Mega Tek Avocado Mist - this stuff is wayyyy to sticky and leaves my hair very dull looking. I might consider using it like adw in my treatments. I may need to go search for that Non-Growth Eqyss thread again to see exactly how she used it just to make sure.

Queen Helene Cholesterol - my hair did not get any slip with this at all

Sulumax - the smell was horrific, however I like the stimulation. I'm sure it works but I don't know if I can stomach the smell much longer.

Products I'm not sure of yet as I just started using them:

Mega Tek Cell Rebuilder - only been using 3 days so far

Indigo - used once so far. I found it to be extra drying when used separate from the henna. I will try mixing them together next time to see what happens.
Miss Aggie, you are officially a PJ. That is an impressive list.

Hit: Wondergro Shea Butter Mega Moisture Protein Complex Hairdress Conditioner.

I was at the hotel the day after my sister's wedding and I had no hair stuff. So my cousin uses this on her hair and her daughters hair. I put this in my hair and all I can day is wow. Now I understand why women put "grease" in their hair. Def adding to my staples! Good stuff. This has petrolaum but they also make one without it. My hair was bouncy, shiny, and soooo moisturized. I had to buy a tub for myself.

The ingredients are (in no specified order): petrolatum, Shea Butter, Vit E , Fragrance, Castor, Coconut, Macadamia Nut, Pistashio, Wheat Germ and Palm oils, White ginseng, Siberian Ginseng, rosemary, Indian hemp, burdock, horsetail, coltsfoot, comfrey, rosehips, elderflower, Keratin protein, and brewers yeast

I like the Activate conditioner too and I bought all they had left on the shelf,10 bottles.

Huge Hit:

MOP (Modern Organic Products) leave-in. I have had great success with leave-ins this year and this is the best I have tried. It is magic in a bottle. My hair is like silk this morning and so soft I cannot keep my hands out of it. I bought the liter size bottle off Ebay for $18.00. I thought it would have a much thinner consistency. It is very thick, so this bottle will likely last a couple years at least.

HIT!
SE Megasilk relaxer (lye)
I let my sister "borrow" my tub of my HG Mizani relaxer (Mild) and when I got it back, there was barely an inch left in the tub. WTH! She has a short (less than 2") Halle hair cut. How in the heck did she use all my dang relaxer!:wallbash:
Well, I couldn't wait till I ordered some more Mizani so I stepped to Sallys and got the SE. WOW! My hair is very smooth! And the processing time was almost non existent! As soon as I got done applying and went to smoothing, my hair laid down smooth and flat with minimal pressure! The only thing was I experienced a little burn, not a lot, that I don't have with Mizani. I may have a new relaxer :yay:

I love MOP! Thank you for letting me know this because I wanted to buy it today as well as the liter sz bottle of extreme moisture. Have you tried Bb. Leave-in?

Hit:
Once again: Aphogee pak (the strong one) and the moisturizing treatment

My hair was so overmoisturized that it wouldn't hold a curl for longer than 15 mins. And, the protein treatment I was using wasn't even cutting it. So, One shot of this and its a whole another story. Let little breakage now and curbing to none at all.

SAA: My hair does feel silkier, even when air dried. And it was easy to use.

OTF:
Orchid Complex and hibiscus complex

I need to use them on their own in my conditioner or something to see if they are good. But, it do notice a difference in moisture.

Miss:
Africa's Best Hair Mayonnaise treatment. They changed the formula so its not longer a protein treatment. THats why it wasn't working and causing more breakage than ever.

Major Hit #1: Keeping my hands out of my head! :wallbash:
I will no longer perform chemical services on myself :nono:. I now leave this to Licensed Professionals. Keeping my hands out of my head is allowing me to keep hair on my head :lachen:. More power to all the self-relaxers, but these are professional products, and I am not a professional. Lesson learned!

Major Hit #2: Went back to Keracare
My hair is happiest with Keracare. Period. I lost a lot of good hair days not following the Keracare regimen. I kept jumping on the latest and greatest, running out and buying products that others raved about, and my HG was right underneath my nose. Today, a lady asked me where I get my hair done. When I told her that I maintain my hair after relaxer/cut, she was shocked. Several people have told me that I look like I have a wig on lately:blush:. NEVER heard that with my other product line ups.

Major Hit #3: Keracare Silken Seal
I would put this with hit number 2, but this serum deserves its own recognition. I forgot how fabulous this product is. My hair has bounce and shine galore. I will NOT stray from this again....

Major Hit #4: K.I.S.S
Shampoo, Condition, Wrap lotion, Serum and a dab of oils (all Keracare, btw) and my hair has never been happier.

Major Hit #5: BC'ing
I cut my hair into a chin length bob and I am LOVING IT! Its easier to manage, looks and feels healthier, and my SO loves it. I'm going to keep it short for a while. My hair now takes less than 5 mins to do in the morning! My hair products also stretch further, therefore, my shorter hair is more economical. Wash day is no longer a chore, either.

Hits: Giovani Tea Tree Shampoo. I loved the tingle, it wasn't overly drying, and it was $4 at Rite Aid.
Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditioner. I really had no faith in Giovanni after the Direct letdown, but I like this stuff pretty good. Nice slip, pretty moisturizing, only $4... I'm thinking I liked how both Giovannis smelled, too.
Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat as a leave-in. LilChocolateMa (probably jacked the screen name up, lol), I'm SO dancing at your wedding! I loved this stuff as a deep conditioner, but the fact that they don't sell it in anything bigger than an 8.5 oz bottle sucked royally. A dallop before a ponytail or bun, and I've got the greatest hair!
Redken So Long Conditioner.I used this as a pre-poo, but wonder how well it would have worked as a deep conditioner. Although it smells like cheap perfume, my hair felt so good afterwards. I hate it's discontinued! Thank goodness I found a liter.

Decent: Redken So Long Shampoo. Not the most moisturizing shampoo and didn't particularly detangle. While that is not what it claims to do, I don't like the idea of using this every wash like I could with my others. I will continue to use it on my Redken Extreme washes.

major hit: mizani fulfyl conditioning treatment. i co washed and deep conditioned with it without heat and my hair feel fabulous.

major major major hit: remington wet to straight flat iron. my hair feels so light and its swinging and its moisturized with only the use of leave in conditioner and redken heat glide for protection.:yep: i normally stay away from heat outside of my roots but i will be using this more often. though i do think it will look better when my hair is longer.
