Thank you so much. This is helpful.I detangle with my wide-tooth comb in the shower one section of hair at a time when my hair is wet and well saturated with conditioner. I usually use Aubrey's Swimmer's Conditioner.

Thank you.Section shampooing, only detangle in the shower - with loads of condish.

Thank you so much. Very detailed.I say all below to say, I make sure that my hair is sectioned and covered in a slippery conditioner before detangled when not in the shower or detangle with the shower stream beating down on it after the conditioner has been on it.
Same here. I "pre-tangle" as one of our members says. I saturate my hair in a mix of that olive oil moisturizer (my hair hated it by itself) mixed with conditioner, and coconut oil. I slather that on my whole head, then section and lightly detangle. Once I am in the shower, I work it section by section. Poo, condish use shower comb or ouchless brush to get out any shed hair, rinse, braid. I do this to each section and follow up w/ a vinegar/honey rinse w/ cool water. Yes it does take time, but when I am ready to twist, it's been detangled and sectioned already, and it sure cuts down on the time it takes to twist!
it changes each time, between these two options:
1. saturate my hair with water and detangle w/ jilbere comb
or
2. oil rinse: while oil is in hair, detangle w/ jilbere comb
me too.i do the same thing...works for me!!!!!!!!!it changes each time, between these two options:

Wow Vangrey, your hair is beautiful. How did you manage to get it to curl like that?
Oh, so I won't hijack the thread:
I DC/steam my hair first with Keracare Humecto, then I detangle with my jilbere comb.
