HITS:

-JBCO (Jamaican Black Castor Oil) I'm in LOVE with this stuff and wish it came in a gallon size. use it to seal, grease my scalp, mix w/ water for rollersets, spike it w/ peppermint and rosemary EO..LOVE IT!

-CD's Tui Leave in Conditioner...Got off my little boycott wagon so i could buy this and I like it.

-Tropical Degil Honey and Almonds Cream Conditioner. Picked this up while on vacation. A dominican conditioner that I love and i can still smell it in my hair 2 days later.

MISS:

-I'll try it again but this Silicon Mix, the smell had me feeling kind of woozy cause its so strong.

Big Hits

HE LTR - Conditioner - great for cowashes
HE LTR - Leave in - love this stuff! It leaves your hair smelling really nice.

First time I've used any HE products. I've been ordering Elucence on the net since I cannot find it anywhere. Move over Elucence because I can get the HE LTR at Target. Last night I saw it in Vons supermarket (West Coast) on sale 3 for $9 but the leave in was sold out.

HUGE HITS!!!!

Herbal Essences--Long Term Relationship, conditioner and leave in

I just want to buy it all up, because it work so well for my hair, and smells so good!!

Hits
He LTR Conditioner and Leave In
Con green label (where have you been all my life)
Shower Comb to detangle

Revisited Hit: Coconut Oil
Forgot I had it in the fridge and now I have been using it for everything. I will need a new jar soon.

Revisited Hit:

ORS replenishing conditioner- I haden't used this in awhile so I slapped some one for 20 minutes with heat. I then added more for another 15 minutes with heat and :yay: My hair felt great! I have added this back in the regular rotation, I might just alternate this with my kenra exclusively for awhile.

HITS:

-Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-in Conditioner - The tangles just fall out and this is a good thing because the HE LTR Conditoner was a terrible purchase and did nothing for my hair.

-Peppermint Oil & Grapseed Oil Mix - Makes my scalp feel great and is soothing before bed.

MISS:

-Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Conditioner - I had the worst experience with this conditioner. My hair was tangled beyond belief.

They do have the shampoo to match both the Refresh and Nourish Spa conditioner. I bought them at Trader Joe's but they were not very gentle on my hair at all. They felt more like clarifying shampoos.:ohwell:

You're right, even though the Trader Joe's shampoos are sulfate free they contain olein sulfonate (sp) which feels so harsh on my hair. I don't use their poo anymore. :nono:

So do we know officially have two Hits/Misses threads every month? I didn't know which one to post in, so I picked the one started first :spinning:...

Staple-worthy Hits:
Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat. OMG, I was just ready to be mad at myself for liking the All Soft line too much. That was a big problem b/c I then went on to buy the So Long Line, Butter Treat, Anti-Snap, and the Extreme Rescue Force. I didn't particularly like the Rescue Force, Anti-Snap is okay, and the All Soft isn't all that anymore. But the Butter Treat??!! :lick: Slip, moisture, RECOVERY (from a relaxer disaster), light, smooth, bouncy hair *sigh*... I haven't felt like this since the first time I used Mizani Moisturfuse! Hopefully they'll slap this stuff in a tub!

Stay-on Satin Bonnet. It stayed on :grin:, is comfortable, cuter than my other bonnet, and I got it for $2.49. I may also buy the du-rag looking one when I want sleeker (a word?) hair. Haven't heard any reviews on that one, though.

Sprush. I like this little relaxer brush. Who knows if it does what it claims, but I like it :look:!

Misses:
Self-relaxing. I will try it for the third and final time in 7 weeks or so (I'll be 10 weeks post). I have burns, underprocessed hair (b/c it'd burn so bad I'd rinse too early), and it's a headache. If this third time sucks even after trying a new relaxer, I'm headed back on the market for a new stylist.

Mizani Relaxer for Coarse/Resistant Hair. Burns, weird-feeling texture, processes to fast, doesn't rinse well, SO strong...

On the Fence:
Vitale Olive Oil Breeze Shampoo. I didn't feel a tingle, but that's not to say my scalp won't be with a little less dandruff and itching. I love that it has a sprout-type bottle, but I'm feeling pessimistic right now...

My two new falls. I haven't done weave in a while and I'm so nervous... And what if my hair anorexia gets worse b/c of them?!

Dang. I still have the Biosilk line, Kenra MC, and the Redken So Long to review. I also wanna try Kerasilk Rich Care, Ultra Rich Care, KeraCare Restorative Masque, and maybe the Redken Smooth Down Shampoo....

Thanks Charm! When my so gets mad because I purchase the weekly moisturizing treatment, I will point you out to him. :ohwell::lachen:

You know, I agree, that Jessicurl Too Shea conditioner is really good. I remember a few years ago they were giving free samples of that if you covered the shipping, which was like $2. it was a nice sized sample in a little bottle, not a little packet. I really liked it. And it just smelled like it was working, too. LOL I never repurchased. That was before I found my way product-wise and did not appreciate it as much as I think I would now. I may have to look back into. My choices in good conditioners have become slim. :perplexed

I wish Qhemet would make a conditioner. (HINT HINT, Qhem!)

This is a hit (my hair loves it):

Motions new deep conditioning treatment??? Are you talking about the DPT condiotioning treatment or something like that? I seen it in a mag awhile ago and it caught my eye. Can you list the ingredients please?

Hits:

Candy_C's Avo'Coco Lotion: This product seems to be helping with my breakage. I've been applying this throughout my hair, focusing on edges and my nape area. Then I've been sealing with Jojoba Oil. When I wake up, the hair just glides through the comb with like 1-2 strands in the comb (I only comb once a day).

*covers eyes*:nono:

Um you are the one that urged me to get the Too Shea and now I'm in lurrvvv!

Oil Rinsing :sad:

~~~
I must be doing it wrong. :nono:
I did it last night for the first time, then rollerset my hair, and I'm sitting here with a head full of pinned up oily curls.
Well, oily and half poofy curls, with nappy roots.
(I'm texlaxed--and it's raining, therefore the humidity has made a fool of my head!) :ohwell:
Maybe I used the wrong oil. I used some leftover almond oil. I knew when my hair dried, and I could touch my rolled hair, and my fingers were greasy, that this was not going to be a good hair day.:perplexed
I'll try it again when I get home tonight--with castor oil, or EVOO instead. If it doesn't work, I'll stick with adding oil to my pre-poos and deep conditioners.
-------
E'tae Carmel Treatment - softened, strengthened, and moisturized my hair. Rinsed so soft. Love this stuff! I need to learn to make my own so I can use it more often and not worry about the price.
E'tae Nutrient - great rinse to soften and detangle. It has olive oil and vinegar with basil, rosemary, burdock, and other herbs. Keeper :yep:
