Aphogee 2 min reconstructor (amazing moisture retention after 1st treatment)

Big Hits
Sebastian Potion 9
:lick::lick::lick::lick::lick: (Hands Down Best Product of the Month)
FLEXIRODS!! - Doing a "layered" set with different sizes=amazingly natural curls
Nexxus Trio - Therappe Shampoo, Emergencee Reconstructor, Humectress

I dont have any misses, I tend to stick to the same products that work for me.

Hits

grapeseed oil- nice and light and does help detangle pretty well

Thai Kitchen Coconut mlk+ Kenra MC:lick:

Giovanni leave in on dry hair- instantly softens, moisturizes

revisited hits/still hitting:

Vital Plus Herbal Organics conditioner as a "rinse"- brought the softness/moisture back from the Giovanni Poo- the 3 liters of Big Lots PJism last summer paid off!

Natural Oasis pomade- my scalp is so happy right now. I always come back to this. Lifetime staple!!!!!

on the fence:
Giovanni tea tree triple treat shampoo-great for an itchy scalp, but HARSH on my hair- needs mega moisture afterwards

*Hit*

JBCO- I really like this oil. I've been baggying with it and it makes my hair soft. I also love that a little goes a very long way, so my two 8 oz bottles are probably gonna last me till the end of the year :D

*Miss*

Naked Naturals Awapuhi and Lavender Conditioner- Dried out my hair and made it difficult to detangle

*Revisited Miss*

Nexxus Therappe- Tried it a loooong time ago, it dried out my hair and left a weird waxy coating. It was just sitting there for months and months, so I decided to try it again a few days ago..... Same dryness and waxy coating :ohwell: So I'm officially giving up on Nexxus products: Humectress, Keraphix, Therappe and the leave in (forgot the name) were ALL horrible on my hair.

MISS:

Trying a rollerset with the "less is more" idea. My hair was dry and tangled and my NG was hard to manage.

I tried it again with my normal amount of leave-in and heat protectant and not only did my hair get straighter, but it was soft, moisturized and easy to manage.

hits:

-Ayurvedic pastes & tea rinses... using various powders.. Im so in love with the results

- non BAQ Hennas... brands Im familiar with contain all same conditioners as Indian, no baddies and come pre-mxed in color of your choice... I used on daughter's hair.. when Im done with BAQ stah I have, Im going back to using these too

Misses: HE LTR, if I could find my receipt id get my $5 back

Yes Potion 9 is good stuff. I tried a little trial tube one day...went back and got the big tub for home and the little tube for my purse.

French Perm Stabilizer Plus ! It's too good to be true!
Someone on the board recommended this product for detangeling; it's a keeper!

BIG HITS:

Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner- Previous to trying this leave-in I was using Ojon Revitalizing Mist, while Ojon is still a great product Jane Carter gives me amazing hair at a fraction of the cost, plus its made mostly of natural ingredients.

REVITALIZING LEAVE IN: Purified Water, Extracts of Aloe Vera, Comfrey, Watercress, Myrrh, Panthenol, Essential Oils, Anthemis Noblis Flower, Symphytum OfficinalLeaf, Equisetum Arvense, Urtica Dioica (Nettle), Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Lawsonia Inermis (Henna), Butoxyethenol, Polyquarternium11, Soyamid DEA, PPG30, Cetyl Ether, Oleth-3 Phosphate, Hydantoin,

My homemade oil Mixture- Since my hair loves, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, castor oil, and citrus EO's I decided to make a mixture. This mixture leaves my hair ubber soft and tangle free.

Hot oil Treatment Technique- I always give myself a hot oil treatment before every wash on dry hair. Well recently I've been spraying my hair with a water/conditioner mix before applying the oil and the outcome is very favorable.

NO MISSES:yep:

Small retraction:

While JC provides great results once hair is dry it has absolutely NO slip(Now that Im a couple of weeks post, the gig is up), therefore it does not help with the detangling process. However this is still a great product to use as a mid-week pick me up to add moisture. But its back to Ojon Revitalizing Mist as my staple leave-in on wet hair!

:lachen::lachen::lachen:

This is an old fav of mine used it consistently years ago along with the Heat Glide.

Girl, I really didn't to like it. I don't need anymore product lines that I like. It just makes my life too hard. I got the sample and oh boy! It was just what I needed right now. I ran out of kenra and decided to give something else a go. Now I gotta restock my kenra and this:nono:

HIT:

Ion Emergency Service 3-step hair repair kit.

I have been having breakage since a week after my last touchup.

This helped so much!! And my hair is not dry!

Okay I also used the Ion chelating powder (Crystal Clarifying Treatment) this time, so that could have been the problem, too - my dang on hard water! :wallbash: I use a chelating shampoo but only for one light lather. Maybe it is not enought. :look:

French Perm Stabilizer Plus ! It's too good to be true!

:yep::yep: Definitely a hit for me. One of the best detanglers ever. :lick:

Gro Aut oil. i'm getting quite a bit of growth from this in very little time.

Misses: none.

Major Hit!

Ion Pro Ionic Dryer w/Tourmaline (Blow Dryer):
This blow dryer is EXCELLENT! I've used it three or four times since I purchased it in February and I can definitely say that this one is a winner for me. This truly means something coming from someone that used to be anti-blow dryer/drying. After blow drying with this dryer, my hair is shiny, strong and soft. With my old dryer my hair used to feel dry; as if all the moisture in my hair was sucked out. Using an ionic/tourmaline dryer really makes a difference. I also love that it has a cool shot and use the cool shot when my hair is almost dry. My hair felt just as good (if not better) than when I air dry. I'm also 16 weeks post and I blew out my roots with it this morning and it did an amazing job. I used it on the low setting and I was able to get my new growth straight. I am soooooo glad I got this dryer. It is really going to help me get through this transition. The best thing of all is that I had no breakage after using the dryer! This is definitely a keeper!

Hit (finally)!

Redken Heat Glide:
I've had mixed reviews on this product since I purchased it last year. I finally used it for blow drying and I was impressed and finally satisfied. It helped get my roots straight, smooth and soft w/my blow dryer. I love that it is sooo light and a little goes a long way. I haven't had much success flat ironing with heat glide but it definitely works great for me when I blow dry.

- Amlika Leave In treatment (also from the Body Shop)

HUGE HIT:
Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner

(I sooooooooo didn't want this to be a hit, due to the price---but I truly must agree with the LHCF Aveda ladies. This stuff is GOLD!! My hair is unbelievably soft, and it smells so freakin good!! I used it as a deep conditioner with heat for about 15 minutes, after conditon washing with some leftover MNT. Detangling and curlforming my texlaxed hair was a snap!
Now I just have to devise a way to figure this in my budget. :look: I believe that I've found my staple deep conditioner. )

OTHER HITS:

Sebastian Potion 9
I used this by itself first and it did a nice job but my hair looked kinda dry. But my breakage has slowed down a lot.

So I mixed the HE LTR (splash of SAA) and the sebastian potion 9 = :drunk::spinning: my hair is sooooo soft and strong. I am happy

Nexxus
Maxxshine - this was free. It is basically a spray serum and it made my hair so shiny. I blowdryed and used this, it is full of cones. I will repurchase.
