This IS true!!!!! She prolly sensed that I'm not the type to nut up which is why she felt so comfy replying that way. If I had been all rough and tough and in her grill, she prolly woulda' been like, 'Oh I shampoo with aloe vera mist, deep condition with lily bark and moisturize with pixie dust. Matter of fact, I have some extra pixie dust in my knapsack, would you like some?? Imma go buy you the whole line, meet me back here at three.....'

Maybe if you had responded "I couldn't tell"she wouldn't be swinging her hair that much..I personally don't compliment or say anything to anyone, I just admire it and leave it at that.

ok I might get a few stones for this but I dont care..hahaha..seriously, before I found the board, I really had it in my head that mixed people, white people, mexican people, etc had an advantage when it came to hair. One of my good friends has a white mother and black father. She used to cut her hair short like in a bob all the time and it would be back BSL in a few months it seemed like and yes, I figured it was because she was mixed which is partially true. Now that I have a better understanding about hair and how to go about taking care of my hair, comments like these dont bother me because the average person really truly believes that black hair does not have the potential to grow like most of the other races and I would find it hard to believe that alot of us didnt think this way before we joined the board and found out the real deal so lets give the chick a little slack before we talk about cutting her![]()
She's really silly. Truth be told, heck MOST of us African American's are "mixed".
Yup, like I said in my previous post, we've all been misinformed one way or another. You said what I was thinking but didn't say....
I agree with this post 100%, some peope forget where they came from, we used to be "ig'nant" too.:wink2:
I love it!If it was me--and I was in a naughty mood--I wouldn’t have missed a beat and said with great enthusiasm
“Oh really?!? So am I!!!! So........what did you say you used on your hair?”

Yup, like I said in my previous post, we've all been misinformed one way or another.I couldn't really trip over the fact that this was her viewpoint; look at the thread about 'LHCF Sins we used to commit' (or something like that) and you can see just how un/misinformed alot of us were....
It caught me off guard that she was just so blatant with it! Like 'The name of the product that I use to get hair this silky and smooth is called 'Interracial Relationship'. It's not sold in stores.'![]()
