I asked for a hair trim, just to shape it up nothing major. At 12 I had hair past my shoulders. At 12:35 it was on the floor. What happened? :wallbash: All of my efforts to maintain growth... GONE. She didn't listen to me. Just when I was recovering from products addiction. That's one of the many reasons I hate visiting the salon. Growth Aids here I come!:yep:

and 1 of the many reasons many of us become DIYers

welcome aboard!!

Aww, that really sucks. There is a plus side though, your ends, hopefully, are nice and even and thick, so do all you can to keep them that way and you'll have your hair below your shoulders again by summer! Take pictures! It's really inspiring to see the change in your growth.

My ends look great! I have thick hair so it looks like a layered fro:grin: I want to post pics to show my growth progress but don't know how. Any tips?

At least you are looking on the bright side. Good for you! Let this be a clean journey to long luscious hair. Happy growing!

I know how you feel! Been there done that and left that hair salon alone! lol just stay the course and your hair will be back in no time.

Read up on the threads that teach us how to self-trim. Welcome.

I know what you are going through from a SHS and that's exactly why I do my own hair. If something happens to my hair its b/c I did and no one else. Just be patient your hair will grow back it will time, just take give it a lot of TLC.

I knew I was doomed when she said "your hair seems like it is growing as I cut it". And she continued to cut. No problem I got plenty of products to try. Heading to folica.com for a smaller flatiron.

This is why went back to my old stylist. She understand I don't like her cutting too much if anything. I left her for a little while chasing the Dominican dream, but she was siscor happy. I had to cut her off.

I know how you feel. The same thing happened to me. It'll grow back. Keep doing your thing.
