Peace everyone.:)

Finally decided to join in, after a hellacious day at the salon. My stylist of two years got mad (read defensive) when I expressed concern for my thinning hairline and telling her that Keracare setting lotion was drying my hair out when I used it at home. Post touch up, when I asked her to trim no more than 1/4 inch off all over, I later saw some 1 inch pieces on the floor. No wonder my growing hair is not getting "longer". When I asked her about it she accused me of having a "bad attitude" and complaining. :lachen:
Needless to say I am finished with the scissor happy Nazi and looking for a new stylist for my new touch up. Thanks to the info from you ladies I know that not only Keracare works on relaxed hair. I went in there today with Elucence MB roller set and Elucence Protective Barrier Balm on my non-new growth and the stylists were cutting their eyes. My hair was shining and looked GOOD to be getting a touch up.

Anyway I don't want to bore ya'll with the full rant, so
Hi everyone and I look forward to parlaying with y'all

Welcome! I just fired my stylist too for some of the same reasons! I think LHCF needs to develop a "Stylist interview sheet" or something.

Good luck finding another one, I know how it feels.

Welcome :D And good for you for kicking that stylist to the curb! Stylists used to cut my hair off all the time talking about split ends, making har grow etc. Now I look back at those times and laugh :lachen:

Hey girl, welcome. I recently joined for the same reasons. It must be the stylist in the D.C. area or something, because my stylist was the same way. I have shoulder length hair (which can be brought back to health on the ends) and my stylist wanted to give me a halle berry pixie cut, she said "you may as well start over". I told her I didn't think so, needless to say shortly after I joind LHCF.

Thanks so much for the support. I am so proud of myself for not cursing her out. After all I'm a lady, but...... The last thing she said before I walked out was something along the lines or other of "If you want me to do your hair....." I had already tuned her out by then and was  to keep myself from screaming on her infront of the "downtown clientele". She was really trying to put on a show. I wanted to tell her to find some deodorant that worked, but I was nice. I realize now more than ever that we must stay in control of our hair.

I am trying to figure how to change the name. A novice to forum stuff. I meant for it to be WL or Bust, so when you see that name, its me. Peace!!!!

Welcome!

Your ex-stylist sounds like my ex-stylist. They should do each other's hair as punishment.
