Ok so here is what I have done since March 1st:


1) Bought a pilates video with one of those strechy ropes (so if I cant make it to the gym, there is no excuse)

2) Bought some color contacts (yea, its a little vain, but I'm re-inventing)

3) Bought 3 new pieces of clothes (on sale but namebrand)


NEXT STEP: Cornrows before the end of theis week


So far, I'm off to a good start...what about you ladies??
 
Hey You! Thanks again for starting this post! I was having a moment today about telling myself I will start tomorrow....tomorrow never comes :nono:. Here goes, I plan to do Dr. Perricones 3 day diet (my skin is suffering from something) and walk for an hour 30 min lunch/30 min evening.....More to come.....:grin:
 
I have already started going to the gym weekly.
I started a better skin (face) care regimen thanks to the post on this site.
I will try to stay away from sew ins for at least a year. Suffered from breaking and not sure if the sew ins added to it. So now I want to try wigs. I have 1 & would like to get at least 3 more nice ones.

Oh, also I started taking vitamins which I usually don't because of trouble swallowing them.
And incorporated protein smoothies to my diet instead of meals after 8pm.
 
ALRIGHT LADIES!

It's half point check in time! How are you guys coming along? Any concerns, any progress...??

Here is my update:

1) bought color contacts (hazel) really added to my skin complexion and the compliments I am getting are crazy

2) I've been using this microdermabrasion cream from Origins. 100% NATURAL..and in one week, I have seen a huge difference in my face. SO even asked if I was wearing makeup

3) I started taking Hoodia Goordini with green tea Extract and Braggs ACV. I take the Hoodia with Breakfast in the morning and drink the braggs at night. My cravings have reduced and my appetite is much smaller. I am bloating less already.

4) My hair, when wet was breakign like CRAZY!! I mean everytime I spritzed my hair with water and ran my hands through my hair, strands would find their way onto my hands.. So I checked this with a combo of Shikaki shampoo bar, Silk Elements (w/ SAA) moisturing Mayo leave in and Coconut oil. My hair is doing better, but I will be 100% happy when I'm not shedding anymore.
 
I have been going to the gym and spending 20-30 mins on the rowing machine. I have managed to drop I think 2-3lbs. But still need to work or the thighs as these tend to get muscle instead of burning the fat so i have been avoid some of the cross training machines...Skin - I have be juicing carrots in the morning and making sure that I drink lost of water. As for a new wardrobe when I drop a stone I will get me somthing pretty...besides the current budget cant handle it! BUT so far so good....:yawn:
 
I signed up with a gym. I went 2x last week. I went 2x so far this week. I am going tomorrow morning. Next week I'm going to make it 4x. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. by May 28.

My skin care regime is going great. I am doing daily skin care and weekly facials.
 
I've been coming up short lately :wallbash:

1. Henna my hair red. I bought the wrong color of henna - excellent conditioning - no red hair.

2. So in my effort to lose 20 lbs. I bought yoga booty ballet from Target b/c it was on sale - and it my reviews are: DON'T BUY IT! It came w/ 5 workouts and I only like one. It's basically a bunch of high impact dancing - all flamboyant/overembellished dance moves and like very little instruction. I am just supposed to figure out the steps as they shoot right through them. And it seems like you are supposed to know some stuff like basic yoga moves and basic ballet - and the dance part - forget about it. I can only use one of the workouts it came with - the toning one.

I3. haven't finished my ABS Diet book yet - still working on it.

4. In an effort to start my online business - the company that I am want to purchase wholesale items from are on hiatus and can't be reached. But I have found a god webhost.

Hopefully things will turn around. I still got like 75 more days :perplexed.

But I've started the master cleanse and today is day 2 - so far so good, I'm hoping to do about 20 days.

I've also indulged in hair and make-up products - I'm having fun experimenting with the make-up since I usually only wear mascara and eyeliner.


 
Well, I am doing okay. I've started buying/wearing more makeup. I am still wearing protective styles. I've started using my sulfur oil again. Plus, I am forcing myself to cover my hair at night. I recently just had an interview. I really hope and pray that I get this job.

I am still trying to purge negative energy out of my life. It is really a test and a struggle, but I am determined.

Although I have strong nails, I got nail tips added for an even length and longer lasting manicure. My hands look so lady-like with bright polish!:yep:

I went to gym and did 11 miles on the bike machine and deep conditioned in the steam room. If I keep this up both my body and hair will benefit!:yep:

I've noticed that when I take the time to acessorize my outfits (earrings, bag, shoes, etc.) I look 150% more polished and get great compliments. No new clothes - just added accessories!
 
I have been going to the gym before work and using the treadmill. I've lost half an inch from my thighs and I've been using Sebastian Potion 7 in the morning on dry hair and washing it when I get home to protect it from the sweat - so far so good. I'm not buying any new clothes yet until I've last a whole inch and hopefully by then the budget will allow it.

I've also started using a ponds cream on my face overnight - and my skin is clearer than its been in a long time - and it only costs 6.99 RESULT!!!

Signing up to this thread is real motivation (and comforting). It helps to hear how everyone else is doing.
 
Your right...it does help to hear how everyone is doing...

I know for me personally, I had to put SO to the side for a bit, to focus more on me. Thank God he was understanding and supports the changes that he sees. I know this challenge may be slightly hard for some ladies because we are so used to being givers, not receivers. But this is your time, to finally do something for yourself. Be a little selfish. We all deserve it.

SO LET SEE THOSE RESULTS LADIES!

Sign me up :grin: I will report back in a week with how I've done with the things below (except the hair, that will be a while).

Goals:
1. More consistent with exercise be it gym or central park!
2. Get up in time to do all the girly extras.
3. Stop cutting my hair :wallbash:and just let it grow!
4. Nail maintenence (Will my nails ever be strong enough not to break after a certain length? :perplexed)
5. Perfect my makeup application - only eyes and lips.
6. Eat healthy (cook my own meals)
 
I didn't sign up for the original challenge, but I would love to join now. I've been in the process of reinventing myself for about a month and a half now. I was doing really good, but I've been so stressed for the past two weeks that it took it's toll on my physically and I ended up back sliding :nono:

I'm going to start back working out again using Turbo Jam. I had a baby almost a year ago but I still look pregnant. I've lost some of the weight (mostly in the places that I wanted to keep it like my thighs and butt) but my stomach is what I want to get rid of the most. I decided that I want a belly ring :grin:

I've got to get rid of this friggin ponytail so I've been practising my rollersets...but I got a LONNNNNGGGGGGG way to go.

On the plus side, I have been using this cleansing brush thingie when i wash my face and it's helping my skin to glow. I've also been giving myself full pedicures and will start giving myself full manicures. Yesterday I DC for the first time in ages! I also took a long hot bubble bath and used my bath spa. It was sooooooo relaxing :yep:
 
Alright ladies...its that 2 week mark again.... UPDATE TIME!!


Here are mine:

I started the Ultimate Cleanse two weeks ago..I have lost 5 lbs and I am barely bloated anymore. I feel much lighter now.

Still using the microdermabrasion for my face from Origins.. Had a bit of a break out when my "aunt Flo" came to visit, but that helped get it under control..

Hair is growing nicely.. Im still in braids, but plan on taking them down next week to give my hair a good DC..

I GOT A NEW JOB!!! PRAISE THE LORD.... I have beentrying for so long and it is finally in the field that I have been trying to get into for so long... It still feels like a dream

Now that finances are looking up, I can get some new clothes... (updates to come)
 
This is cool. I'm down.

I have been weeding my wardrobe of things I don't like or that don't fit.

I'm returning to the style I like because I like it.

I'm treating myself very well.

I'm indulging in my make up fetish as I see fit.

Next up getting my back into a better state so I can start belly dancing again.
