So I CON with Lustrasilk Cholesterol. I than used water and ORS Lock and Twist Gel to set. Here are the results. It's ...ok. So this is the real deal. I've never straightened nor used heat on my hair..in the past 3 years. So I have no loose kink anything. Lol.

What's up with the two tone hair color. 1 and 1B? Grossss! I think that is from the camera flash. And you see how there is lack of density in some areas (especially my sides) well I would just like to thank my stylist and and the many years of relaxing for that gift that keeps on giving. Even when you beg for it to stop.

Wow, these curlformers are something else. Your hair looks great!

Okay the haircolor is...noticeable in the pic, but not terrible. :look:

I not gonna buy them, I just stocked up on freakin' flexi rods, but my hair is still too short to use them. (rant)

Please post more pics if you separate the curls or change them. I can't believe how good they came out on natural hair. I'm excited!

Okay, those came out pretty nice. Will you wear them as is or do you think you'll separate them?

Hmm, about the color, do you henna?

Wow! I always wondered what these would do on natural hair, it came out really pretty, now I'll have to invest in some.

Wow - that's pretty impressive!! Hrrm - those could come in handy once I get a lil (okay, a lot!) longer....

No, I don't Henna. I honestly don't think it looks like that in person. I hope. I'm going to ask a couple people.

I don't know what I am going to do with it. I haven't separated it, because I am afraid I might mess it up and it did take a long time to do. Not necessarily put them in, but since I don't have a dryer I had to air dry and that took a while.

So I am going to hold off on doing anything to them until after church tomorrow.

For first try...it came out ok. I am going to do it again and see if the results get any better.

If there are any relaxed heads out there who don't think they should get it. Ugghhh...don't sleep. GET THESE THINGS! Forreeaaall! I am sure the curls will come out soo smooth and very much so salon quality.

wow...urs came out great too!!!! I luv these things...got'em in my hair right now actually lol

Wow, your hair turned out great!!! Do you have flexi-rods? I have them, but for some reason, I can't set my hair with them. :spinning:

Do you think these would be easier?

I don't have flexi-rods. But, when I was relaxed I used straws to do a straw set. I couldn't imagine trying to wrap this nappy hair around a rod w/o any type of grip.

These curlformers force form the hair into a spiral and does not let the hair slip out of it's form while you are waiting for it to dry. I can see my napps puffing up while drying using flexi-rods.

But, that's just me..

Yeah, I'm guessing that was the problem. I guess I'll give 'em to my sister, then. :ohwell:

I'lll have try the curl formers. They sound nap-friendly.

Thanks!

WOW! EVERYONE.

I truly do apologize. Everyone has been commenting how much they like my hair and I have completely ignored those comments. Thank you soooo very much. :blowkiss:

I honeslty, think it looks a mess. :antlers: Not a mess..but ugh..like I said it's OK. The last time I did something like this was over 3 years ago on relaxed hair..so I have that experience to compare too and for some sad reason I was trying to reach the same standard with nappy hair. Hahaha!

Anyway..once I had made up in my mind it was a mess...I mentally bypassed all the nice comments. Where are my manners? Once again thank you ladies for your wonderful comments and encouragement.

:grouphug:

I think your hair looks great, TrustMeLove.

Although your hair looks pretty smooth already, maybe next time you can try using a smoothing balm to put on your hair before rolling each section in order to achieve the neatest curl you can get. I was eyeing the Biosilk Silk Therapy Smoothing Balm myself.

I think it looks great. One of the girls who did their Youtube video said she two strand twisted her roots and then she added the curlformers. I am going to get these ASAP before thy are all sold out.

They came out good, did they feel crunchy? I would think that the gel would make them kind of hard, I'm afraid to do mine with the gel, I've had good results just with the LTR leave in and Chi serum, they came out soft but not too soft .

Hey, it turned out good. I bought 6 packs of the green and blue ones. I thought they'd work better for me. How long did it take you to put them in?

I think the curls came out WONDERFUL....it gives me hope that I can successfully curl my 4b hair without the use of heat ....YAY!!

I think that you would have liked them more if you seperated some of the curls for a fuller look in the areas that you say are not so dense...

Oh by the way, I've never heard of curlformers before....do you purchase them online or in a regular BSS? How much are they? Do they come in certain colors for sizes like magnetic rollers?

UPDATE!!!!

So ladies I am sad to announce that after a night of beauty rest the curls DISAPPEARED. I was left with very soft and lucious hanging pieces of hair. So if you want to stretch your hair using this method..than by all means do so. I didnt' take a pic because I didn't want a pic of me looking crazy floating on the LHCF site. And as you ladies know this site pops up on google searches. lol

I ended up pinning my hair up for church this morning. Tons of compliments from random people in the streets too. lol So I guess it worked out for something.

I plan to repackage these rollers and return them to Sally's. I am going to puy some heat protectant products and possibly an ionic blow dryer in preparation for my soon to arrive MAXIGLIDE 2008 EDITION.

This is harder for me than you would know. I was really excited about this new hair styling opportunity. But, it has not worked out and it definitely isn't worth 60 bucks for a style to last one day.

I still wouldn't hesistate if I had relaxed hair to buy these curlformers. They would be amazing on relaxed hair.

Thanks y'all!
