Televison head checking in!!! Yep I used to get called that in school:lachen::lachen::lachen: I used to get mad until I realised that all the people calling me that were either female (some were my friends) or dudes that wanted to get with me. Im not even a square head! so I just made up a name for everyone too:grin: Still I covered my forehead for a bit but now Id wear it anyhow. I think a fringe looks cute on me though

Me, me, me i've got a big head or atleast an akward looking forehead. My brother used to always say my hair looks like it's sarting half way along my head (yea we had a lot of fights as kids).

Quite a few ppl would say i've got a big head but u i never saw what they were talking about - i thhink i was too proud and i still am.

My name is Anancy and i love my big head

I'm still self conscious but I don't wear the thick bangs anymore, I just do the side swoop. When I was younger and got teased about my forehead, my mom would tell me: bigger forehead, bigger brain, smarter person.

Lol at this being an issue but hey we all have our own problems. All jokes aside I couldn't rock a fringe bang like a big foreheaded girl can. Look at Tyra & Rihanna. When girls with smaller heads/faces try and do it, they tend to look like they're faces are squished up. So go head on girls!

I too have a five head....was teased oh so bad in school and always rocked some type of bang. I think I did start to embrace it later in high school but it always was a source of embarassment for me. Know I will rock a pulled back pony or bun all day!

I wore bangs for years after a boy in 7th grade called me "Mo Fo" and "Five Head" because I didn't like him. Thing is....he really was odd looking. But he cut me deep with that barb and continued to torture me with it for some time.

After I had my son and went natural I decided to wear my hair in the easiest styles possible. Most of which exposed my big head for the world to see. I don't really care though. I'm happy and no one has said anything negative about it.

Someone mentioned that folk hone in on your insecurities. They do! Now that I don't give a darn those people have disappeared.

I have a big forehead. I'm not sensitive about it at all. In fact, I never noticed it till people pointed it out. Still doesn't bother me. Right now I'm sporting my braids as bangs, but if one purpose of bangs is to disguise the size of one's forehead, mine are not really doing much because I've created a split in the middle and swept them sideways like open curtains. :lachen:

If you ask me, methinks I just might be pretty proud of m' massive reflective fo'head.

Edited to add: When I was in high school, there was a girl whose hairline was about an inch from her eyebrows. Many people thought she was a freak. I actually felt sorry for her and used to thank God that I didn't have that problem. I think most people I knew when I was growing up had big foreheads, so anyone without one seemed a bit odd. :look:

I have a five head too....but I don't hide it ...I do have bangs cut..but I rarely them.....I think my forehead is part of my beauty..Look at Tyra Banks, Imani, Naomi Campbell.......They're forehead is a part of their beauty and their uniqueness ...Here my forehead...Big ...LOL..and proud
Your forehead is not big, but your MAKEUP IS ON POINT! :grin:DANG, give up the tips!

ETA:
I have an 8 head and proud of it. I got teased a lot when I was younger, but I don't really care now!

Sometimes I do a sideswept bang, but not as often as I used to. When I was younger there was no way I was going out of the house without hair over my forehead. Now I'm more comfy wearing my hair straight back off my face.

thats me in a nutshell... my godbrother still calls me "forehead" til this day. I was self concious before.... but my fivehead is a part of me and i love it now. I wouldnt change it... just gotta thicken up these temples and we are good all around.

lool i have a gigantic forehead lol. Swoops used to be my signature style, but when I got older I felt it made my head look even bigger!! Now I embrace it lool....i still hide it a little when I have roller wraps though lol:grin:

I have a big forehead. They used to call me hammerhead in school:lachen:. But my mama never made and issue and she always styled my hair back it just carried on to adulthood. I wear my forehead out and proud I don't care. I had bangs once but I did that for fashion not to cover my head.

Thanks for the make-up compliment.....I was a make-up artist for years!! Now I'm just a house wife....

I have a nice five finger forehead, lol. *singin I'm coming out!*

I used to be self conscious about it, but now I wear out proudly. Also I used to have bad forehead acne , probably from always wearing bangs, so now that my skin cleared up I'll wear my hair straight back, but I often put a part in it even when it's in a bun.

I have a Tyra/Rihanna/predator/ 5 head. In general the circumference of my head is large. Its difficult for me to buy hats:nono::nono::blush:
I wear my hair pulled back most of the time. I will wear any style. Why hide it? I don't want anyone to be taken by suprise by my forehead.
5head sisterhood unite!!!

I too have a rather large forehead. I normally wear my hair to the side or straight back...I cant stand hair on my forehead....so, its normally in plain veiw!

:lachen:I love how Tyra and Rihanna have become the big fo'head ambassadors. Whenever I hear people make fun of them I'm always like "well what are you thinkin bout me.."

How do you style your hair? Are you sensitive about your forehead? Do you choose to cover or not?

What's your experience been like?

I have a large forehead:lachen:and I wear my bun w/o bangs. Sometimes I may create some type of bang action. It just depends on how I feel, and how I'm wearing my hair that day. I used to be alot more self conscious about it when I was younger, but now I'm like whatever! You gotta work with what you got! :yep:

FUN-E.... I always have bangs, except now I am in braids and I have been rocking them off my head in a ponytail....growing up it is always something, I have FULL (ok big) lips, a big forehead and pimples...despite ALL those "flaws" couldnt tell me I wasnt the cutest thing this side of the Mississippi

Hey this is me - except i'm the cutest thing this side of London!!!

I wish i could have a fringe - or least a side swept one but i'm natural:sad:.

Does anyone have issues with break-outs when they wear a fringe?

Hey Bublin:

I am natural and wear a fringe. OK, I do that by braiding or twisting my hair w/o extensions then CWing and ending with an ACV rinse and let them drip dry so they hang down. I may dab them a bit with a paper towel or towel so they don't drench my face, but otherwise, I let them airdry. (The reason I wet them is they hang better when shrunken and have more weight so they can cooperate with me.)

Here's a pic (The rest of my hair is in extension braids).

And while the following do wasn't intentional--I was just getting ready to re-braid the fringe afresh--it gave me the idea that I can sport a braid-out or twist-out fringe if I ever feel like it.

But I warn you, chances are once you find a way to create one, it'll all have been in vain coz you'll end up just doing like I do: part dem bad boys in the middle and just let the fo'head shine! :lachen:

ETA: I don't get breakouts, but that's because I don't use leave-ins. When I used to use products in my hair, I got breakouts all the time.

yet another big head checking in! LOL. In grade school they used to sing the kit-kat bar commercial to taunt me, but instead of saying "break me off a piece of that Kit-Kat Bar" they'd say break me off a piece of that BIG FO'Head!!! Oh how I used to cry about that.

Anyway, I do nothing to cover my forehead these days. People will just have to get over it. Every now and then I still hear a comment or two and feel like I'm back in elementary school allover again, but other than that I'm not self-conscious about it anymore.

When I choose to wear bangs, which is rarely if ever, I do it because it's part of the style I'm trying to achieve (china-doll, side swept, etc) not because I'm trying to hide my head.
