Please excuse me if this has already been posted...
I just picked up Essence today and was flipping throught it when I came across the Black Men, Sex & Intimacy section (pg 143) and one man's quote turned my face to
erplexed. This bamma said...
"I like a Black woman with her own hair, whether it's permed or natural. I'm opposed to any augmentation like hair weaves and extenstions. [ok, that's his opinion like anyone elses BUT check the reasoning...] To me that shows a woman is not secure in herself. It's nice to have something to run your hands though, but the length doesn't matter. When a woman is confident, it comes across in teh way she carries herself and wears her hair."
Did the bolded part not sit well with anyone else? I'm just saying... I'm going to go take my "insecure" butt right on to the BSS and get my 1/2 wig, full wig, ponies and buns to keep my hair covered and protected until it grows so someone can run their fingers through it all the way down to my waist
.
