Hey Ladies,

This is the perfect day for mixing and experimentation. I wil delay my homework for a moment of hair bliss. I bought some Aloe juice in lue of the Aloe thread that was posted a few days ago. What recipes give you fabulous results. How are you using it, as a leave in, conditioner?

And I have heard of people washing their hair with aloe, but how the heck do you do that? I'm guessing I cant make a tea out of it like shikakai, what's the procedure here?

Thanks in advance ladies! And have fun doing those rollersets, relaxers and hair explorations that I am 100% sure ladies across the board are doing today.

I found this recipe on line....

Aloe Vera gel that contains coconut milk with a little quantity of wheat germ oil and then it is utilized like a shampoo and gives amazing results.

But I can't find measurements online.....So will be experimenting with this weekend

I just purchased yesterday, but I think some were just applying to scalp and others (like myself) mixing with conditioner.

I'll report back after 3 washes with results:yep:

so far I've been putting it directly to scalp....I read you can apply to scalp then rinse after 20 mins then shampoo..sense I wash every other day anyways I put on scalp every night and leave on till next wash...I've been doing this for 3 days now..
But I'm using 100% aloe vera gel

So you ladies are using it much like a prepoo. Are you only finding the hundred percent gels at health food stores? I havent located them in wal-mart or CVS here in Tampa.

Thanks this sounds promising, I really want a variety of shampoos that arent commercial shampoos, no sulfates,
