Who get your hair nice and straight and it actually sits on your back. Ever since I went natchal my hair hovers around me like a cloud when straightened. A puffy brown cloud.

How do you ladies make your hair "heavy" so it hangs and doesn't hover?

Am I making any sense? Anyone else's hair like this. I wonder if this means I have fine hair...
 
Protein treatments. It gives my hair thickness. Also, using a conditioner that is moisturizing enough helps to give it a nice fall. A taut rollerset as well.

You have a fluffy cloud of hair too? Why do you think that is? I think my hair is thick but maybe the strands are fine? But then I see fine haired ladies here and their hair isn't cloud like. It's so weird.
 
No advice, but I share your pain with the cloudlike straight hair. My hair is poofy when it's straightened. My strands are fine, too.

So it must be the fine hair thing. Ok, thanks for confirming that. Do you do anything succesfully that makes it not so bouffanty? :lachen:
 
Girl please I am blessed to have a really good beautician and I live in an area with very little humidity. Q
 
Girl, I wish I knew what to do to cut down on the poofiness. That's why I don't straighten my hair that often. All that effort for *poof*, lol.

Uhhh Queeny, you do know that your hair is like 30-50% thicker than mine right? And i'm sure your strands ain't fine like mine. I WISH I had that head of hurr :yep:

Yeah, I'm feeling you. I am finding though that as my hair gets longer it's getting more manageable THANK GOD. The poofiness is not as great as it was when my hair was shorter.
 
My hair poofs like this too. I was hoping for a colder winter to combat this, but it's been 65 degrees and what not in FEBRUARY. Shoot, I need it to be 32 degrees or colder:look:. So I am wearing it pressed in a bun or pressed in fluffy, fluffy curls.

My twists look like yours i think. When you wear your hair straightened is the look/texture similar to my sig pic?

Yes, my pressed hair (and blow dried) hair looks just like yours Bre Bre:yep:. Although I think you have a healthier sheen to yours.
 
yes, i have a picture i took with my cell phone that looks like your avatar:). i am so technically challenged I can't get it off of there.:spinning:
 
I have no sympathy for you Bre, you hair looks gorgeous and full. I'd rather have that than hair laying on my back. That siggy pic is Fiyah...:yep:

My hair is fine and it hangs. It might be one of your products. I've found that serum makes my hairy fluffy/poofy. That's why I don't like it.
