HIT OF A LIFETIME:

SWASTIK'S SHIKAKAI SHAMPOO BAR!!!

IT IS AMAZING!!!

IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!!

IT GAVE ME A HAIRGASM!!!

I AM NEVER USING REGULAR SHAMPOO AGAIN!

:look:

HUGE miss: Vive Pro Nutri Gloss shampoo and conditioner: I have never had a product leave my hair this dry and dull. Nothing I put in my hair could rectify the situation. I had to re-wash my hair twice to get it moisturized again.

Awww man! I was seriously considering getting this but always put it back before checking out.

Hit:
Lush Caca Noir Henna - used it for the second time yesterday and it was great once again.
Giovanni Direct Leave-in - its been making my rollersets soft and moisturized.
Fantasia IC Nighttime Oil Spray - it has mineral oil but my hair loves this stuff.

Does this make your hair super hard?

HIT!!!
Shikakai powder! This stuff make my natural 3c and 4a hair sooooo soft, silky, and moisturize. I will never give it up, ever!

Shikakai and Amla oil!! This stuff detangle just as good as any detangling conditioner I've bought and liked. This stuff makes make my hair so soft and silky its unbelieveable.

On The Fence
Shikakai + amla powder
Shikakai + Maka powder
I really like the soft, silky, and moisturized hair effect. But I don't know if its the combo or just the Shikakai. I will use the Maka and Amla powder and see if it makes my hair grow longer than a 1/2 inch per month and thicker. If not I gonna just stick with the Shikakai powder.

MISS
Alma powder + Maka powder: It was alright, but no fireworks. It did not give me that Shikakai effect, soft silky and moisturized hair. I guess everybody hair is different. My hair looves Shikakai anything!!!

Hit:

Using a sugar scrub on my scalp. It really removed buildup and my scalp feel great.

I did a brown sugar sugar scrub last weekend and I loved the results. I mixed brown sugar with honey, aloe vera gel, castor oil, and cinnamon eo.

Other Hits:

Jane Carter hair nourishing cream
Jane Carter Nourish & Shine
Jessicurl deep moisturizing treatment
Jessicurl too shea extra moisturizing conditioner
Arise & Shine Silk 2

Misses:

None

Oyin shine and define on my damp two strand twist ends and then rolled on blue small perm rods-

I LOVE it!! My ends have a tendency to look undone and little raggedy when I do small twists but this makes them look finished and cute. I like the shine and define for the smell and hold, but I know it can be recreated with other products as well (like gel & an oil).

do you mind posting what in this? also, did you purchase this online?

tia,
tishee

Continued hits:
massaging scalp nightly
shikakai/Amla oil cleansing- I really like this
Kenra MC:lick:

On the fence: Kan Kanechomn Amazonian multi herbs treatment:

consistency is like a thick vo5 moisture milk. not as rich as I like. It was all right as a dc on dry hair, but then again so is just about anything. I really need to try it again with a fresh relaxer on wet hair, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to buy it again.

Hey Lavendar thanks for the input. Umm by the way, girrrrl you hair is the gorgeous!!! I will kill for your thickness! The shine is, oh my!

I havent heard anything yet this month for it to be a hit, but I do have a miss!

Miss - Lusters Renutrients Replenishing Style Creme - feels watery, didnt make my hair for moisturized, rather just greasy.:perplexed

Hits:
Qhemets Biologics Burdock Root Butter Creme- I absolutely LOVE this stuff! By far the best moisturizer I've used. It's light, moisturizing, smells great, and makes my rollersets so silky!

Coconut Oil - I used this after my rollerset. My hair has been so shiny, soft & moist. I used this once before & wasn't impressed but after revisiting it, I now know I only need a very small amount for my hair. I hate heavy, weighed down greasy hair. Using this (sparingly), along with the Burdock Root Creme allows my hair to maintain movement & bounce.

Joico Silk Results - I use this as a final rinse after my DC (Kenra MC or Joico Intense Hydrator). It seals the cuticle to lock in moisture & remove tangles.

wow! your mixture sounds great. I used one that I purchased but I want to make my own.

I think I am going to make this a regular thing for me. My scalp is much cleaner and has less flakes after the scalp scrub.

Nature Made B-Complex vitamins. I have been taking them to help with eczema, but I have a nice side benefit of faster growing hair and nails. I have been taking them for about a month and a half and I just started noticing.

My Conair 3/4 Ceramic Flat Iron (love getting at the roots with the ergonomic handle...love...it)

HITS
*Pre-pooing overnight with my special mix of eggs, real aloe plant jelly, hemp butter and cheapie conditioner--WOW! Aloe and Eggs made my hair soft and strong, I noticed considerably less broken hair(s) and and only shed hair (not alot). I'll continue doing this.

* ABBA Moisture Scenstations Shampoo--loved the tingle and my hair felt so soft. Thank you HoneyDew for your review, you always reccomend it and I'm so glad I got it. I'll be getting a Large size bottle and the remaining small bottles from Trade Secret.

* Toque Magico Emergencia-imagine the softness I had with this after using the above shampoo:drunk:

* Frederick Fekkai Shea Masque-I taught the first time was a fluke because I did a dry DC, second time is a hit too!

Revisited hits:
Kenra Moisturizing conditioner
Blue Magic Coconut oil
Cantu Shea butter super silk shine

Now I've had some breakage and so my hair has been looking to me kind of rough. So I put in some ORS replenishing con for overnight. Wash with Elucence shampoo in the morning since I don't have any Kenra shampoo. Condition with Kenra moisturizing conditioner. I love to match my shampoo/conditioner.

I think I'm going to just sit under the dryer in a lose pony tail or just loose period. It's worked for me better than rollersetting for some reason. Rollersetting has been good for me in the past but lately it's been hard. Don't know why. Got this tip from shtow.

I usually do not post until way deep into the month, but I ordered my Surya leave-ins from bytheplanet.com on Wednesday evening and got them Friday, so I got a chance to use them last night. The color fixation actually has several more really great ingredients in it that the tucuma butter, which is slightly thicker, but I mixed them together and immediately my hair detanged and felt ultra hydrated and I do mean immediately -- in a second. I thought my Ojon revitalizing mist was miraculous (and it is, but it is $39.00 a bottle). These were like $6.00 each and I would put them up against any leave-in out there no matter the price. I am trying to resist going back on the site to buy the leave-in with acai extract.

HITS:

Surya Henna Volume Reducer Tucuma Butter Leave-in Conditioner with babacu seed oil, cupacu butter, shea butter, tucuma butter, bergamot oil, lavender oil, chamomile, cedarwood.

Surya Henna Color Fixation Leave in Conditioner with buriti oil, vitamin E, babassu oil, capuacu butter, rose flower oil, jasmine oil, henna leaf extract, sandalwood oil, amla, honey, mallow, hazel seed extract, acai fruit extract, carrot root extract, aloe vera, brazil nut, chamomile to name a few of its ingredients.

Using a leave-in, sealing with ghee and smoothing aloe vera gel over my hair after that. My hair is super-shiny and silky looking and feeling all day and I believe it helps my hair retain moisture all day even through my workout.

REVISITED HITS:

My Honey Child buttery soy creme: I was actually going to sell this because I would use it at night and my hair was so dry in the morning, but I tried it again Thursday night and sealed with ghee and my hair stayed moisturized through and beyond my workout Friday and that rarely happens. I realized that when I used it in the past, I did not seal it afterwards and that made all the difference in the world -- super moist hair all day long and into the night.

Nature's Gate Jojoba Revitalizing Conditioner: This conditioner will fix whatever is wrong with your hair and leave it detangled, silky and moisturized. I love trying new products, but I will never not use NG conditioners. They are better than conditioners I have paid three or four times more money for. The daily herbal, chamomile calming and aloe moist are equally wonderful -- top notch...

Ion Color Defense Intense Moisture Hydrating Treatment - went to Sally's and for some reason decided to try this packet. Well, it was great! Rich and creamy. My hair just melted and detangled when I put this on. Excellent moisturizing, too. I am going this week to get some more. :lick:
