Nature Made B-Complex vitamins. I have been taking them to help with eczema, but I have a nice side benefit of faster growing hair and nails. I have been taking them for about a month and a half and I just started noticing.

Has this been helping with your eczema? Was this recommended by a dermatologist? TIA!

I am not sure if it is the B-Complex or not, but my skin is much better. I had pretty much gotten control of the major eczema symptoms on my face – itch, dryness, scaly skin, etc. But, all the places that it flares up are MUCH lighter in color than the rest of my skin. The color is slowly coming back (yay!) and is more uniform and do I notice that I need less moisturizer than I used to. I am so happy. I am not sure if it is the B-Complex or not, but I do see the overall health benefits of the vitamin regardless.

It was not suggested by a dermatologist. I am not going to give her that much credit. She is forever trying to prescribe Protopic or Elidel. Protopic helped, but that stuff is causing skin cancer in folks and the FDA even warns against long-term use. There is no cure for eczema so why would I want to use a potential carcinogenic that I cannot not even use for the long term to help me with my problem – NOT!

I researched natural remedies and I have yet to find a dermatologist that will help with natural remedies unfortunately.

Very big hit :

Adding Silk Amino Acid and Honeyquat to my conditioners. I was very skeptical that this would work :look:. I have 10oz bottle and had about 8 oz of Elucence it it, then I poured about 1 oz of SAA and 1 oz of Honeyquat in it and it made my hair have a silkyish, stronger feel to it upon rinsing out. I did the the same thing to my Kenra last night in a 10 oz bottle, and I love it ! I def. need to order another bottle of SAA again, I only got the 2 oz. bottle just to be on the safe side.

New Hits for me:

Biolage professional and at home Hydratherapie Ceramide Treatments (lipids that act like proteins and holds moisture in my hair extremely well)

Biotin and MSM with B-complex Vitamins

Salerm 21 with B5

Ultra Black Hair Conditioner (just ordered the UBH Creme Lotion Moisturizer so I hope I like it too).

New Misses so far:

Coconut Milk (dried and broke off some of my hair, so this is a no no for me:nono:). Thankfully this is the only one so far for this month .

Herbal Essences really makes some of the best scented products. The fact that their quality is decent too is what is really great.

I shampooed first with Elucence, then applied 1.5 tubes to my hair and left it on for 30 minutes. I then conditoned with kenra MC for 5 minutes in the shower. My hair didn't feel that great before the kenra, after kenra it was great. My hair had a really nice sheen not shiny but nice sheen. Next wash I will mix a tube and some conditioner then report back.

Joico Kpax re-constructor , Shampoo, conditioner and hydra-tor all Misses

The straightening balm was ok but not all that.

Hits: Motions Silk Protein Conditioner - I had tried te CPR in the past and really liked it so I decided to try this as well mixed with olive oil and I really liked it, gave me tons of slip.

ORS Uplifting Shampoo - I decided to try this because I always feel like three days after a wash I have major flakes, it felt very soothing.

Fekkai Glossing Cream - I received a free sample at Bath Body Works during the semi annual sale and decided to try it to first smooth my hair so I could pull it back and go out after it dried. I later used the rest of the pack on my hair in place of the serum I usually use before flat ironing and it gave me a lot of shine without looking greasy, its very lightweight. The smell is ok.
