Not bad so far.

Gone back to rollersetting. I bought magnetic rollers as my old spikey rollers continuously ripped out my hair.

I have been wearing protective styles (up twist or, hair in canerow) for the last month using my ever trusted Flexi8 clip, stain bandana and, other clips.

Wearing my satin scarf loosehas made a difference. Just need to buy a satin pillowcase as the scarf tends to ride up and, fray my low hairline.

Try to co-wash at least twice a week but had not had time this week.

Still experiementing with products so, I can not post regime.

Will update Fotki soon.

All is going well. Bunning actually is becoming my thing  So easy to get up in the morning, spray on the moisturizer, close off the ends with oil and I'm out the door.

I wash on Fridays...(im DCing now) and rollerset or twist on Saturdays and for one day wear that style. Sunday night i do the moisture thing and bun and that's how it stands until Tuesday..take down wash and do over...bun and that's how it stands until....

I'm actaully thinking about trying KiniKakes wash, saturate with oil, pin up and just leave the bun until I wash on Tuesdays and do it all over until Friday instead of taking the bun down every night and re-oiling...just leave alone---this would work even better.

Haven't needed the pass because I really don't care about hair styles (which is why the bun works) and no events coming up in the forseeable future.

I'll post progress pics around the 30th of Feb as that will be a 16 week stretch and I'll get a fresh perm, length check and MN update.

Update pic in fotki. Was feeling great about how well I was doing with bootcamp until I looked at this month's photo next to last month's photo. :nono: Not progressing as well as I'd like, but I'm going to keep persevering.

I have been bunning and moisturizing my hair the hole month, washing aprox 2 times a week. and its been going really well, I have done two deepconditioning treatments, but I plan to do more this month, like once every week maybe. this month I plan to clarify and do a hard protein treatment. everything is going well so far, cant wait for the final result. oh also I decided to stretch through the hole bootcamp :yep: so im only going to be getting one relaxer this year :)

Great! I just wanna trim a little more than just dusting, but I'm not ready to do a 10-day juice fast, so I'll still hang in there!!!

Here's my progress from December to Jan. Damage is growing out and I'm dusting it off. I gained a few pounds over the holidays, and I'm running them off, too, so Feb.'s update should show less meat on the fatback!!! LOL BTW, I now understand that all bras are not the same place on me, so I'll choose the lowest one for my BSL tracking!

ETA: I've chosen to rollerset until my NG gets out of hand, and I wear my hair in a bun or pincurls (while at home). Still co-washing and DCing at least 2 times per week.

All is well here! I'm protective styling with cornrows. My 6 month relaxer stretch will be ending in a couple of weeks. I will relax and deep condition every other day before I rebraid.

So far so good. I am 20 days in. I got a little newgrowth since the 10th of Jan but not sure how much since it looks like the rest of my hair. Ive been using MN.

I did use my pass to flat iron my hair wit my new flat iron. I in the struggle I want to relax but i told myself wait till session 1 ends. Im on the search for that bam moisturising conditioner for after protein. and im so tired of wigbut im a make it

I used my pass a few days ago, but so far so good... It has really helped, my hair was so burned out from flat ironing, I enjoy not worrying about it.

It's going GREAT so far!! I've had my hair up in protective styles - I'm sitting here right now taking out my two strand twists, and this is the second time this MONTH my hair has been 'loose' - so I'm very pleased!

No heat  and DC'ing twice as much as I wash.... things are going well. I don't think I'll need a pass for a while...

wow thats alot of growth, keep it up you WILL be bsl at the end of the challenge :yep:

To tell the truth I haven't been doing so good I flat ironed my head twice already and flat-ironed my roots:wallbash:. It's been really hard I might have to drop out of this one because you ladies here are very commited and I feel bad. Is there anyway u guys can give me a 2nd chance? PLEASE!

I'm glad to see everyone is coming along good so far. I'm hanging in here. Being that I had just really gotten the hang of rollersetting & flatironing my natural hair, I thought Bootcamp was going to be tough. But so far it's been pretty easy.

I have not used my 1 pass this session & since I'm about to get tree braids, I won't need to for Session 1. My goal is to not use a pass for any of the sessions & just flatiron & do a length check at Christmas time this year. We'll see how that plan goes.

I'm struggling with some dryness issues but Sareca has given me some really good tips so I'm hoping that dryness will soon be a thing of the past. I'm using MN & Surge & I joined the HYH & DC challenges. I've been DCing overnight on Mondays & Wednesdays & doing my regular DC on Saturdays when I do my once a week wash. I'm going to buy some Aveda DR tomorrow. This will be my 1st time ever owning Aveda anything.

Well I guess that's all I have to report...:yep:

im hanging in there my braids are on a wing and a prayer but im gonna keep my hands out of my head if it kills me

I'm doing great! I still have my cornrows in. I've been deep conditioning weekly and I rinse my hair few times each week.

I used my free pass today (got a relaxer...flat iron). I won't lie, I miss flat ironing my hair. I feel extra homely these days and while my hair is long enough to put up in a protective style, it's not long enough for it to look SEXY:wallbash:.

I am seeing progress though. I found out that my hair likes to be co-washed every day. I've been using V05 extra body for that and it has kept my hair in phenomonal condition.

I'm doing good!:yep:

I'm doing pretty well so far. I just keep my hair in conrows for two weeks at a time, moisturizing it daily with AO Honeysuckle Rose conditioner, and sealing with either Vatika oil, amla or castor oil. Then I take it out, soak in amla, wash out with shikakai bar, henna, deep condition and back in conrows again. My hair likes it pretty well, and I'm actually preferring it away as opposed to lose. I haven't used a pass since I'm determined to keep as much as I can, and I also hate dealing with my hair!

I only take progress pics for every session. I think that you stay encouraged that way. Its hard to see only a 1/2 inch of growth and for some people its only like 1/4 per month. So stay encouraged and take progress pics after each session.

it's been a little rough for me guys:look: I flat ironed only once and my stylist keeps saying " you don't never get your hair done any more"

If I tell her what i am doing she will think I'm crazy. But overall i am hanging in there

Thanks for the uplifting words. :)

Alrighty ....so its been thirty days since bootcamp started so how's it going?

Things are going great! I'm riding the Ayurveda wave...and I aint gettin' off. I've been airdrying and wearing my hair up, and this routine will be going on till I get kinky twists in April, God willing.

But I think the Ayurveda stuff is making my hair grow faster cuz I never have this much new growth just 6 weeks-post relaxer. So I might break down and get kinky twists in March

lol. yeah I've done them. but mostly i air dry and just pull it back in a ponytail. Thanks..the sun room needs new tile and new paint:lachen:

I have been doing good with the challenge so far. My hair has been in box braids since the first week of Jan. I will remove them in March. Keep up the good hair growing everyone!
