Kerastase Masqueintense for Thick Hair - A truly amazing product, it's the thickest creamiest conditioner I've ever used on my hair, hands down, even better than my former love Aveda DR. 2008 is going to be a GREAT year for healthy hair now that I have this in my arsenal.

Kerastase Masque Oleo-Relax - This treatment did everything it promised to do. My hair is very lightly texlaxed and about 4 and half months post relaxer and I've had difficulty getting my rollersets to come out smooth or my wash and go's to be non frizzy, this masque rotated with Masqueintense has given me smooth shiny and manageable hair, truly worth every penny.

Kerastase Serum Oleo Relax- great for sleek shiny rollersets or for when I wear my hair in a curly puff, I just apply a little of this to my hair at the hairline, brush with a very old soft boar bristle brush and my normally frizzy out of control hair like becomes sleek with a slight wave. No damaging gel or hard crunchies needed!!!

As you can see I have definitely jumped ship from Aveda to Kerastase and I'm not looking back!:yep:

Misses:

Nothing yet, thank goodness!:spinning:

Organics Africa's Best Olive and Clove Oil
  • great smell
  • great oil...not to light, not to heavy
Vitale Olive Oil Hair Mayo
  • great ingredients like Oat Protein, Soy Protein, Menthol, Camphor, Carrot Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Kukui Nut Oil
  • leaves my hair super soft, conditioned and moisturized
Misses:
Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner
  • used as a co-wash...left my hair feeling brittle and dry
  • did nothing for my hair
Frederic Fekkai Protein RX Daily Protein Fortifier Spary
  • To heavy as a leave-in for my hair
  • Left my hair sticky and limp (even after air drying) :nono:
That is it for now....probably will have more hits and misses later in the month!

Miss Key 10 en 1 - my fave DC
ORS Carrot Oil

Maybe Misses:
Elasta QP Intense as a leave-in....:ohwell:
Profectiv Healthy Ends

Big Miss- Baba de Caracol conditioner treatment. My hair was tangled and there was no slip.

AW! Hal! Well, I better wait and try it when I don't have so much ng. At 9 wks post, tangles would not be good. JenniferMD raves about this stuff. It hope it works for me.

Aww! I'm hating hearing of the Halka Baba de Caracol being a miss! If I could find a 32oz jar and get a hold of it easier, it'd be a staple of mine!

Herbal Essences Break's Over Leave-In Cream
  • Oh yes! It's glorious ladies. You must try it! My ends haven't looked this good in a long time. Plus I'm 9 weeks post! Oooh child. Has my nappy hair feeling too luxurious. And I got it for $2 on clearance. A cheapie, but a goodie.
Nexxus Humectress
  • Yes I know, I'm late. LOL.
Misses

Elasta QP Intense
  • As a leave-in, it doesn't do it for me at all.

Big Miss- Leaving Cassia Treatment on overnight. Too drying

BIG HIT: twisting my hair into tiny twists that afford me to protect my ends and still have nice styles.
Silk Peptide Powder in my hair mist water bottle.
MN Cream- the mix really feels good on my scalp and Ive had no negative results- so I'm continuing.

HIT- Rollersetting hair with magnetic snap on rollers---much much easier than using the double pronged clips.

HIT-Rollersetting my hair makes it feel so soft

Miss- Rollersetting texturized hair--my hair will always be poofy. I can't wait to go straight so I can have nice rollerset results without having to flat iron so that my hair can look straight.

ETA:Hit--Silk Elements Mayonaisse--made my hair surprizing soft, strong and detangled.

**Deep conditioning under my Pibbs! Now I'm really getting the benefits of my deep treatments.

Hey there,
Yea I was really dissappointed.... maybe its the technique, how are you using it? I noticed there are two different conditioner treatments one does not contain oil and that is the one I have... maybe by adding oil it might give me better results.....Too bad...I really wanted this to work:wallbash:

Stretching more than 10 weeks... Um my fine strands are starting to rebel, lol. 10 weeks will be my limit (2.5 months is cool for me - I'll try for longer stretches later)

Attempting to blow fry my roots, lol. Stupid round brush makes me sick, lol.

Rollersetting hair past 5 weeks in my stretch - see above.

Flat twists for twist out... Just doesnt work for me, keeps unraveling

Sunsilk Straighten up leave in - Used this as my leave in last night for my flexirod set. My hair is super soft and moisturized but not heavy. Love it!

Beyond the Zone Frizz Serum - I didn't intend on purchasing this when I went into the store. But I knocked down 3 bottles and broke them.. :look: I felt guilty so I bought a bottle. I tried paying for all three but they kept telling me it was okay... anywho, after using the Sunsilk I ran some of this thru my hair. Frizz isn't really a problem for me, but I notice my hair is smoother and very soft. Yay.

Flexirod sets - Tried it last night, I'm freakin THRILLED! :yep: I'll post pix in my fotki this weekend. I just have to figure out different ways to wear it instead of just a headband. And I have to figure out how to maintain it for more than one day.

HITS

Joico Kpak shampoo and conditioner- mild strengthening and gentle cleansing

Now this is a Big Hit, Like Barry Bonds hits

Joico Moisture Recovery Balm......This is like Kenra on Crack! Love it!

I think mine doesn't have oil, too. Not sure, cuz I'm slipping on my Spanish, lol. It's the Intensive Treatment from Sickbay. I've been using the rinse with it. Either as a pre-poo or right before the conditioner to ease wet combing. I leave the conditioner in for about 20 minutes under the dryer and then rinse.

I agree with this one- I can put them on flexi rods and have a cute night time style too..

HUGE miss: Vive Pro Nutri Gloss shampoo and conditioner: I have never had a product leave my hair this dry and dull. Nothing I put in my hair could rectify the situation. I had to re-wash my hair twice to get it moisturized again.

I wish that would work for me too. I love the bottles, they would look so good in my shower...especially the new ones, the darker pink in the Nutri gloss line.

I know what ya mean, I also like the color of the bottles. I had high hopes for this product too. :nono:

HITS:
Elasta QP H-Two - Detangles and very moisturizing

Aphogee Vitamins - I've only been taking for about 2 weeks, hair and nails growing like crazy. My nails are so hard and strong, I'm even seeing new fuzz coming in around my hairline where there wasn't any before.

Peppermint oil mixed with coconut oil - oiled my scalp with this, then pre-poo'd with conditioner under dryer, no more dandruff and itching.

MISSES
Elasta QP Intense - As leave in, left hair tacky had to wash it out. I have not tried as a DC though.

Blow Drying Roots after rollerset - my poor scalp is still recovering from that disaster. That round brush is lethal in the wrong hands!

Giovanni Direct Leave-in - Didn't hurt or harm, just didn't do anything.

Hit

SAA + Qhemet Biologics Olive cream conditioner
I've had this for a while and have used it off and on but once I added the SAA it has become a staple. My hair is sooooo silky! I love it!
