Detangling on wet hair (too much breakage)

HIT:
Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight Conditioner- Man this was awsome.
I clarified this weekend which leaves my hair stiff and tangled so I used this on my hair and had immediate softness and silkiness. When rinsing out my hair detangled on its own:drunk: This may have my Pratial Silk worm rinse beat.
Thanx Gym and Brownie:2cool:

Aveda DR + Brilliant conditioners = soft hair that is strong and smooth and nice!!! Love it! All time favorite combo!!!!

Nexxus Hydrasleek - does exactly what it says. Hair is sleek and smooth. Also moisturized. Nice.

I really want to try this because I LOVE ABBA products! And since I know you are my hair product twin, I am going to go for it! I had a bottle and gave it away like an idiot.

Are ya'll using the Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight as a rinse or deep conditioner? If it smells anything like pretty much any of the others, I want it just for that :look:!

Hits:
Spectrum Virgin Coconut oil :lick:
PURE HEAVEN! Smells yummy and has a lovely, buttery texture.

All Ways 911 Leave-in
I've been using this for a while and I like it. I use it the night before a wash for a touch of collagen for elasticity.

No misses so far, I haven't been buying much lately ;)

whew! I am so late to this thread:nono:

So far I have no misses (no surprise there)

But I have had one big hit after another:

Hits

Mixing oil with relaxer. I'm still working on the pictures issue, but you'll just have to take my word for it---my hair looks GREAT!!!! Not only that, it came out perfectly texlaxed! I was speechless. Its just what i wanted and more. I didn't burn and I had plenty of time to apply the relaxer.

Adding Joico Moisture recovery condish to my ends prior to relaxing. For the past two years I noticed my ends getting straighter and straighter but did nothing about it. I paid for it this summer; however, my ends survived intact after my recent touch up.

Washing with Joico Reconstruct for 4 days after my touch up. Even though adding oil was great, my hair was still weak. Using reconstruct definately saved my hair. I have had a dramatic reduction in breakage. Its to the point where I don't even bother checking any more--there are so few hairs in the comb!:):yep:

2008 is turing out to be a great year. I have learned from all of my mistakes and have high hopes for the overall condition of my hair. This year, it's not about length for me, its about care, health and maintenance.
I know the length will come if I focus on those things.:yep:

ORS Hair Mayo on dry hair

Hit:
Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner (tried it solo & tried it mixed with other combos - new staple)

*where's Brownie*
Upgraded Combo Hit: Pantene BD Mask, Aveda DR treatment, Aveda Brilliant and Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner all mixed up, applied to dry hair with heat added.

Soft, strong easily combed hair - new staple combo :yep:

I think the only new products I will be trying out is from the Joico line - I'm seeing what's working, so I won't be doing a lot of trying out new products in '08 -I'm falling off....:ohwell:

Did I just hear that Mona is declining to renew her pj membership:look:

Hit: Paul Mitchell Hair Repair

Its a creamy conditioner that is designed to strengthen hair and improve elasticity. I tried it for about 5 mintues and followed with pantene mask. My hair felt very soft and stronger. My 6.8oz tube is going to last me a while. It says to use it once a week. I am going to try it every other week for 5 minutes for a while and then give an updated review

ORS Hair Mayo on dry hair

Hey I did not know this was one of your favs. I tried this yesterday and I really liked it!! My hair was not as dry after it was done. I just did not need as much product on my hair. 2 thumbs up.

 Just keeping it simple in '08 ... I said I was going to be adding Joico to the mix :yep: (but that's probably it :ohwell:)

I was looking at your posts with the Paul Mitchell...but I was like...leave it alone...we're paring down and keeping it simple in '08...the stuff I'm using is working:yep:. After I found Pantene and Aveda...it really was a wrap. The Joico will be the cherry on top for the year.

@ Honeydew - yup...ORS is a keeper, pretty much on dry hair :yep:

Yeah, I am supposed to be keeping it simple......Joico and Paul Mitchell are slowly becoming my two staple lines.

Undecided:

VS Amber Romance poo and con, the smell is great but I am still undecided if it actually did anything for my hair.

Adding SAA to my Henna mix, thanks Hopeful. MY mix washed in in mere minutes, vs the 1/2 hour it usually takes.

Hit:
Rollerset under my new Pibbs 514. I only stayed under there about an hour with the temperature set to 50. My curls were nice and soft and dried completely.

Miss:
Phytokarrite Shea Mask. This did not detangle my hair at all. When they use it at the salon, my hair always comes out fantastic. I used it at home w/the Phytospecific Revitalizing Treatment added to it (2 pumps) and a capful of SAA.

Vigorol Curls Curling Creme. I used it on the ends of my braid out and love it. It defines, yet isn't hard. It leaves my hair soft and defined. The only drawback is that I have to rub in the cream to get rid of the whiteness but I still think its a keeper. I will def try to use this more when I wear my hair out over the summer.

:scratchch Moisture Recovery, hmmm?

Hit: Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moisturizer! It's relatively cheap (I did get it from the Asian Beauty Supply Store :look:), doesn't leave build-up like other oil moisturizers, and it's keeping the knots at bay until I can get my virgin mango butter to make my créme. It also gave me tiny curly ringlets...but I wasn't feeling that and I braided/twisted my hair up. It's a keep for sure.

HIT:
Fantasia Olive oil gel with sparklelites. OMG, soft, shiny, hair that layed down perfectly. And I didn't have to use a lot. I only used about a quarter sized dollop for my whole head and my hair is LAYED! It's not a hard hold, but still smooth and shiny. My hair is like 9 weeks post too and I have a LOT of new growth! :yay:

Joico Moisture Recovery shampoo- Smells nice and fresh, only had to use a tad and left my hair soft and thicker feeling.

Aveda Brillant Conditioner- I am going to go ahead and give this a HIT! I needed a detangling rinse afterwards but my hair has extra bouncy and swang to it. Smell is to die for and I only used a little bit. This tube should last me a good while.

Try it with heat and a plastic cap for about 30 min. I almost didn't want to put anything else in my hair because my 4b hair was like butter.
