how to trim my hair? I know u can take ur two fingers and kinda "roll" down til u see splits. But I'm scared I may angle too much and jack up my hair by pulling the hair I can't see over my shoulder. Im scared my hair wont turn out even. Anyone have any tutorials? Pretty Puhleez? :cry4:

thanks hairlove! Its gona be hard cuz I have layers but that is a great tutorial!

Question: The position of the head produces different results? Ima have half straight, half V if thats the case:lachen:

i've been wondering about this myself. i have insane layers so trimming is a nightmare!!

sorry OP i'm of no help here :nono:

OT - OMGosh dillard, i absolutely LOVE the colors in your scarf - beautiful!!!

.......and lovely hair too :yep:

I forget where I read this - wasn't on the board but I read that if you twist your hair in sections -- like you're making a bantu knot ( before it curls onto itself) not a 2 strand twist - the split ends will stick out and be easily visible b/c they don't blend with the rest of your hair. I used to do this and cut at a downward angle. It kept me free of splits, and I managed to do it without taking off length which made me happy. Also, I didn't have to spaz about keeping it even b/c I know that would've been a nightmare. HTH

Well i tried a method similar to this and i also have layers, so now i have a u shape and a v shape.... but the funny thing is i like it lol :look:

With my method, i separated my hair into about four different sections, and i cut my hair in a slight angle. No telling what my hair is going to look like when i flat iron it completely straight.
