Yay! I just don't see anything in the ingredients that would cause stiffness to the hair :nono: Lather up good, please

K, so I clarified my hair and you were right, I guess

I lathered really good, just like you said :yep:

My hair came out really soft, and it got even softer and slippier when I put on my leave in. I hardly had any broken hairs (7) and my hair's lookin mighty good :yep: The only problem is I only have enough left for one more use :cry3:

LMAO @ this!!!!!!

hits: *my homemade moisturising pudding
*coconut milk added to conditionner to DC
*Olive oil to seal ofter washing.

misses: using low/no products

Hits: Twist outs

My hair needs a little break from being straight.

Misses: None. I am happy for the most part!:yep:

HIT- Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo
Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner
ABBA Moisture Scentsations Shampoo

Undecided- Joico Intense Hydrator
Joico K-Pak Reconstructor
I did like the end result of using these 2 products (my hair was strong & breakage free) but the process left my hair tangled and my strands felt stuck together. Once dry my hair felt great.

HITS:
-Qhemet Honey & Olive Balm...so far..

-Qhemet Burdock Root Creme...so far..
Love how both of these products don't leave my hair greasy yet still give subtle shine and my hair is soo soft AND best of all, no bad smells. Smells natural like it should.

-ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo.$5 All these years and i never tried it?! Why? Gave great slip and smells great and its soo cheap!

MISS:
-Burts Bees Grapefruit & Sugarbeet Shampoo ( Gave this up this month, i know its free of sulfates but my hair felt like straw)

-Elasta QP Dandruff Shampoo ( Give up this month as well, Hair felt like straw and still saw flakes)

HIT

Gro Aut Oil - I'm not sure if it's making my hair grow, but it's very light (I use it daily) and my hair has never had this much shine. I use a little every morning, and this morning, fresh from underneath the scarf (before I used anything), my husband commented on how shiny and bouncy my hair looked. It must be doing something.

Revisited Hit

Silicon Mix - I'm trying to stick with all natural conditioners, but I tried this again and I still love it.

So far for January 08:

Hits:
Silicon Mix shampoo & conditioner
Pantene Hydrating Curls conditioner
My Honey Child Lime & Neroli Detanlger
My Honey Child Natural Humectants Spray
Gro-Aut Hair Growth Oils (regular one and the Indian oils)

Misses:
Lacio Lacio shampoo & conditioner (haven't tried the leave-in)

:lachen: Just stirring it up a bit, but i tried this on my face.. had a pimple i couldnt seem to move and i put it on it and it is gone no mark.. so yeah i will be ahhh taking this into 2008.

Has anyone tried pee as a hair rinse yet??

Use it on my face daily, and in my hair rinse (citric acid & water) any time I happen to have a full tank and am messing with my hair at the same time. I was on the edge after reading that 'My Beauty Secret' thread, but after having tried it - I'm sooooooo down with it. My skin is SO much clearer, and the skin 'flakes' I used to deal with on my hairline are gone, gone, gone and my scalp always feels so tingly and clean and tight afterwards - like an astringent, without the dryness.

 So I guess that would be a hit of 2008!

Hit!

Optimum Oil Therapy Hair and Scalp Quencher: So far I'm lovin' this stuff! It has great oils in it (coconut, olive, avocado and jojoba), it smells sooo good and it sooo light! I'm wiggin' it this week and I've been using this on my hair and scalp. I've also been applying extra to my edges and nape and when I take my wig off, my hair still feels soft and moist. I've been looking for a good oil moisturizer and I believe I have my winner. I definitely plan to repurchase. As much as I like Sunsilk HydraTLC creme, I like this one much better for my hair.

On the Fence:ohwell:

Pantene Breakage Defense Mask: Sorry y'all but I wasn't that impressed with this stuff. I actually regret purchasing it because my staples (Mizani Moisturfuse & ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner) work sooo much better. My hair was definitely soft and strong, had nice slip but it looked dull and lacked shine. I'm not sure if it was the conditioner or the fact that I may need to clarify(although I clarified almost 3 weeks ago). I will try it again one of these days but not anytime soon.

Hit:
Qhemet Burdock Root Butter cream: co-signing, I am extremely impressed with Qhemet moisturizers. After revisiting the Amla & Heavy cream, falling in love w/the Olive Cream Conditioner & Detangler, I have gotten around to trying my Burdock Root Butter Cream and love it as well. This stuff is really nice and creamy, perfect on ends for straight styles and it doesn't weigh hair down either. Qhem is the gold standard for moisturizing leave-in creams. :yep:

revisited hit:
Dabur Vatika oil as a pre-poo: I didn't care for this as a sealant but I like it for pre-poo conditioning.

Hit

Coconut milk pre poo

Miss

Joico Silk Result: After having used my coconut milk mix for my pre poo which straightens my curl pattern and reduces the knots I used to have, when I used this for a cowash it totally reversed my coconut milk pre poo results. I hate the way my hair felt so I had to wash my hair again within two days. Its a shame this condition is new and I have just spent £16 on the duo and now i dont want to touch it. I also have the moisture recovery which I have yet to use...I hope it works better than this silk nonsense.

HITS

Good Hair Days Magic-Grip Hairpins--these are great for updos and buns! Wish I found them sooner, I like them way better than pins. They are really secure!

Hats from http://VillageHatShop.com. They have a great selection, especially for us big headed girls:grin:.

Seyani Hair Butter--smells divine, is lite and doesn't not build up or weigh hair down. I've only been using this for a few days but I'm impressed!

Qhemet Olive Cream + Qhemet Castor Oil & Moringa Serum
^^Best moisturizing combo of all time!!^^

Elasta QP H-Two Leave In

SAA mixed in with Aveda DR Intensive Treatment

Misses-
Kenra MC....... I know, I know, blasphemy  I tried it for co-washing and dc'ing with heat. Every time I use it, I lose more hairs than I usually do, I have no slip and semi-stiff hair. I reeeeaaaaally wanted it to work cause I've been dying to try MC, but it's just not for me :ohwell:

I forgot to add Tressemme Vitamin E Moisturizing Conditioner for co-washes. Garbage.

:ohwell:Awww tiffers! I was wondering how you made out with the Kenra.
I used it and I loved it!

OT: I see you in your avatar! Your hair is beautiful! :yep:

:love3:I love this stuff too. I have so many different moisturizers, but this has turned out to be my favorite (and I didn't think Qhem could replace my beloved Sidr Tree Butter Balm). :drunk:

This works really well if u have dry scalp!:drunk: However, with my hair, my hair drank that sucka up for the first few weeks, and after a while it just sat on my hair. It may have been too much oil. I even tried clarifying, my hair was just like :nono:. But my mom and friend do love this!
