I bought some alma oil and powder, shakaki (sp?) powder and almond oil at the Indian store during the meetup yesterday. I'll be back to let you all know how it worked for me.

But an early hit: Softee Marcel Wax. It holds my edges down pretty well for $1. EQP Glaze may be replaced. :look:

Kenra MC....... I know, I know, blasphemy  I tried it for co-washing and dc'ing with heat. Every time I use it, I lose more hairs than I usually do, I have no slip and semi-stiff hair. I reeeeaaaaally wanted it to work cause I've been dying to try MC, but it's just not for me :ohwell:

I forgot to add Tressemme Vitamin E Moisturizing Conditioner for co-washes. Garbage.

I'm gonna flat iron my hair on New Years, and I'm gonna be trying some....... Well, I forgot the names of them, one is a heat protectant serum and the other's a shine spray. I'll be back to put up the names of the products :yep:

ETA: The names of the products are John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum and Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Iron Me Flat Finishng Spray. I'll also be trying Dove Beautifully Clean clarifying poo

No, I didn't. I thought that might be the problem, but I don't wanna go through all that, and then have the same results :perplexed:

Since I'm clarifying tonight, I'll try it again, just for you

Dear Meca
In some cases you may need to seek the help of a dermatologist. But you should first try some natural things that may avoid a visit to your doctor.
I would like to let you know that anytime you notice that there is any type of substance on the scalp or hair that cannot be shampooed away usually dehydration of the scalp is present and it may also be an indication that there is some type of “negative buildup” on the hair and scalp. Negative Buildup can be #1 hair products, #2 dead skin cells and # 3 other pollutants that the hair is exposed to. Some of these things are not water soluble, in other words they do not break down well in water. In order to solve your problems, there is a very simple solution.
Proper Clarifying of the hair will remove any negative buildup or substance from the hair and scalp. Be sure you use a the proper clarifying shampoo, one that will cleanse the scalp and hair without drying. To clarify means to remove the unnatural buildup only. If you use a shampoo that strips the hair it will remove natural and unnatural things from the hair, causing dehydration of the hair and scalp. I highly suggest a shampoo called “Cleansing, Clarifying and Balance Shampoo.” This shampoo is a part of my Hair Nutrition Line.
The proper way: shampoo should be applied to the build-up substance on dry hair before wetting her hair to remove negative buildup. Pour the “Cleansing Clarifying and Balance” shampoo into an applicator bottle, one with a pointed tip, part the hair with the tip of the bottle as you apply the shampoo directly to the scalp, over the entire head. Next, slide your hands over your ears and past your ears, using the ball of your fingers massaging the scalp for even distribution. Place a plastic cap on your head and sit under a hot dryer for 10 minutes. Next rinse the hair and scalp thoroughly using very warm water directing the force of the water into the scalp and hair. Afterwards be sure to condition the hair with a My Protein and Moisturizing Conditioner and sit under warm dryer for 15 min, then rinse. After rinsing conditioner towel blot her hair the build-up should be gone. Next use Hair Vitamins on the hair and Oil Sheen in a Jar on the scalp while the hair is wet. In extreme cases you may need to follow these steps 2 times a week for up to 7 weeks. Be sure to use my Moisture Plus Moisturizer on the hair as needed.

You are having a hard time with your hair breaking because you may have developed shaft damage. You must focus on treating then protecting those areas using the conditioning steps that I just mention above. Also treat by applying a moisturizer then lightly apply oil to the strands each day.. In addition to the things listed you should purchase my book “The Black Women’s Guide To Beautiful Hair” and follow my programs. Also I invite you to call for free counseling as needed @901-380-4445
